just after reading the latest Official Nitnendo Magazin with Shadow the Hedgehog as main review, i was kinda thinking that sonic games are going a bit GTA on us.
with all the guns and stuff, it seems like future sonic games will be all gun wielding, assassination type stuff

i must disaggree, ithink that this is just an exception to sort of give the sonic series a bit of a kick start as it has started to lose some of its fans after sonic heroes having no chao

I don't think the only reason people didn't like Sonic Heroes was the lack of a chao garden. What I partiuarily didn't like was that it seemed to be written by the guys who did those skits at the end of GI Joe episodes where they go "And knowing is half the battle!" And the fact that it really didn't answer any questions about Shadow's past but rather just created more questions surrounding his character. So yeah, if I want an after school special talking to me about how great working together is, then I'll watch some PBS, but if I want to run at the speed of sound and break apart robots and stuff, I'd rather play Sonic. Putting the two together is kind of frightening to me. xp

though sonic heroes is still pretty good with the ability where you can play 3 charecters at once and the fact that the lvls are challenging.but ya though,to the original topic, sonic games like assasination and stuff like that could be true.

i like the idea where you get to choose your own path to follow and can decide what character are your friends, and your not on a set path.

Yes, ever since production of Sonic games went to Nintendo, everything's gone kind of awry. Not necessarily for the worse but many people have started to enjoy or despise Sonic games. A friend of mine who enjoyed the Sonic games and comics with Princess Sally was greatly dissapointed with having such a big change in the series. And it is true that Nintendo has changed Sonic a lot from what Sega made it to be but at the pace it's going, it's not too likely that it'll burst with guns and such anytime soon.
