A private tournament held by an unknown host, done away from civilisation and in private for it is one of the most brutal forms of entertainment available; Bloodsport, where almost anything goes and winning is as valuable as life itself. Eight fighters are to compete for the grand prize of 40000 gold. For guts and glory, life and death, but most of all, money. Location An abandoned underground missile silo which was upgraded to a state of the art facility, is the location where the competition will take place. Staff are posted just inside the doorway of the entrance, into the building which will allow fighters and the spectators to enter through the airtight doorway into the rest of the building. Moving down the slowly declining hall leads to a stairway. Halfway down the stairway leads into the control room of the facility. The control room is only accessable to staff and is also a super secure area. Continuing down the stairway leads to a tunnel which opens up to the empty missile silo's 75' high by 30' wide open shaft, ringed with grating platforms and stairs leading to lower or higher levels of the cylindrical hollow. The very bottom being the grounds for combat, while the areas above it for spectators as they grab drinks from a small bar stationed here and make bets with one another or entertain themselves by watching the brutal fights take place below their feet. The very bottom of the empty missile silo is crusted over in the dried blood of countless fights. The combatants of course, do not fight in the dirty location, but rather, on a grated platform raised above the bottom of the silo. For every death and injury, the blood of the fallen and injured fall to fill the pit below, staining it with gore. Twenty feet above the grating where combat takes place, a large piece of crystal clear perforated bulletproof glass covers the entire top of the area but for a small portion where the fighters enter via stairway. This is for the safety of the spectators in case a fighter accidentally throws their weapon skywards. The walls of the fighting area however, as opposed to the clean walls of the rest of the silo, are dirty, notched, and bloodstained.

Tournament Information
Registry There is no entry fee, just the grand prize.
Name: Height: Weight: Style: Weapon:
Entrance are to specify their height and weight, which defines what they are able to do, how they are able to fight an opponent, and a possible slight reach advantage a significantly taller person may have.
There is no entry fee.
The tournament will start when all eight spots are filled and pairings made.
Rules
The rules are very simple. A fighter may make use of a maximum of one melee weapon not found on a natural human body. There will be no ability use in the fights, no extra limbs, nor any superhuman attibutes such as hightened strength, speed, endurance, and reflexes to be used as grounds for advantage over another person. All this is to promote a evened combat experience based on the skill of a participant alone. Aside from all this, there are no time limits on these fights. Fighters may not harm the spectators, but there is no proper code of conduct between the two fighters, so anything goes within the combat zone. Finally, fights will last until there is a definate win by either someone giving up, being knocked unconscious, or death.
Injuries sustained in previous matches will carry over to the next match. If you had an arm broken, you fight with a broken arm, though it may be bandaged.
OOC Guide
Registration is only open to real characters. By that I mean not some generic character you decide to whip up or you want to roleplay an anime character or something. There is no entry fee, however, as a show of sincerity, your participation requires a real character.
Inability to reply within 24 hours of an opponent's last response without prior warning is grounds for forfeiture and disqualification. Timers begin at the time of initiating a combat action, not making introductions.
In the case of submissions, you have three posts/attempts to break out of a submission before you are choked out or have your limbs dislocated/hyperextended.
You do not turn back time and redo a post if you dont like the results of it. Doing so only results in your opponent being allowed to turn back time and react to your new action. This is not a game of trying to see what works, if you mess up, then you've messed up, keep it moving. In the case of failed submission defenses, as you are allowed to try again, you continue your next attempt to break free from your previous failure(s). Not make another attempt from your original position.
A fighter's style dictates their fighting ability. If someone is based purely on grappling, they shouldnt be as nimble as a ninja and have expert punching skills like a boxer. And please dont be unreasonable and be masters of every fighting style in existence.
You do not determine what strikes an opponent or how much damage it does. You do not have superhuman strength or endurance.
If you feel the need to complain about something, talk to your opponent before you call upon a mod to settle something.
OOC goes in the OOC thread. You got a problem take it there.

[1] I edited my weapon. I was thinking a wakizashi was short like a knife which was why I made it hidden in the first place. And I just remembered/found out it wasn't. Sorry about the confusion.

Actually, you can be anything. Only theres no use of fancy powers, or extra limbs, or superhuman attributes. Everything will be based on a realistic scale with human limitations.
So, with eight participants signed up, lets roll some numbers for pairings. Fights will be assigned in standard tournament brackets through advancement of quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals. Numbers that come up first without repeat will be placed in first slots and on and on.
