I read the PM you sent about characters having an idividual journal for the happenings.
It just so happens I was in the works of creating a journal for Joseph's adventures. I was thinking of making it more 3rd person and have it explain the events in Joseph's life as he see's them. Almost like a biography, except with additional comments from the character himself.
I think that'd be a fabulous idea. It could help the players form a better bond with their characters, as they'd be challenged to view the events through the eyes of the character and express those thoughts through words. Almost like becoming the character. I think it'd be a great way to get a better feel of our characters.
My suggestion: Perhaps another sub forum among the guild for character journals or auto biographies.

I've been thinking about the ideas in the PM, and I'm not really sure how I feel about it.
A journal would be fun, but might be hampered by the irreguler speed at which the roleplay moves. It sometimes takes severel weeks or longer to get through one night, and it's not likely someone would make hourly entries in a journal, so there wouldn't be reason to update it. Even more difficult would be the time skips of several months. In that time a character might have a lot happen, which, if they kept a journal, there would certainly be many entries about, but being able to write all of them when the real life amount of time for the player is relativly short might be difficult.
On the other hand, it would give characters more of a chance to explore what's going on in there private lives.
My suggestion, if we do decide to do it on a external site, would be livejournal over myspace, because I think it would provide a better medium for what your talking about. Players could make two kinds of posts, things like journal entries, and things more like regular posts about what's going on in there life, that isn't relevant (yet) to the main roleplay.

Oooh I have the perfect suggestion! If you'd let me, I would create special signatures specially made for the guild! These signatures can link to the guild homepage, and can even include one's shinigami rank, RP character, and guild join date! ^_^ What do you think?
