It wasn't a bad state of affairs, Clytaemnestra thought to herself as she surveyed the tree. The trunks were broad, strong and healthy, and the two fruits, while still small, were vividly coloured and firm. They would grow into fine young Nequus if she played this right. Hadn't she wanted children? Hadn't she always longed for the chance to be a mother? Now she had that chance, and despite the impromptu nature of the whole affair she'd be a fool if she passed it up.

Of course, all that would be a lot easier if the father decided to grace her new family with his presence. Not to worry; he would probably be along soon. She smiled inwardly at the memory of him. Dear Itzal. He was about the last person in Eden she'd ever have thought to have children with, but encountering him might just turn out to be the greatest stroke of good luck she'd ever had. The peaceful stallion was unlikely to challenge her authority, and would doubtless be a kind and loving parent if he decided to stay on after the birth. Quietly she hoped he would - she liked him, more than she was willing to admit to him, and not least because she felt at ease in his presence.
What a welcome twist of fate, being bound in this manner to the one person who didn't need her to be a Commandante.

It had been a long, odd journey for the dark black stallion. After parting ways with the female Reya, he'd went about his normal business, wandering and travelling. And then he had been hit with a sudden urge, as if something were pulling him in a certain direction. Heeding his instinct, he followed it without question, going so far as to take flight during the journey, something he didn't always do. It was a small secret, but he was a little uneasy over flying, and often only did so when it was absolutely necessary.
Regardless, he had gone where his instinct had taken him, and it had eventually lead him to the vast fruitlands of Shrilal, much to his surprise. As he wandered through the unusual forest of oddly colored trees, he kept a lookout for what he was trying to zero in on...it could only mean one thing, that he would soon be a father. It was an amazing prospect for the young Nequus...he didn't know exactly who it could be, but he had a small inkling. He had spent so little time with her though...could it really be possible?
The question was answered when he finally caught sight of it through the brush, smiling as he picked up his pace...he'd only been searching for an hour or so when he'd finally reached the forest. "Nestra...I had a feeling it might be you, when I realized this was the place my travels lead me." he said, poking his head from around the tree, a sheepish little smile on his face. "I hope I haven't kept you waiting too long..."
