With a co2 tank connected, after about 100 shots, the foregrip was frozen to the point of it being white with frost. has anyone else seen this? is this normal? Can it be solved?

Sounds like the CO2 is recharging too fast and its freezing the reg over. Sounds like its time for you to step up to a compressed air tank becuase the CO2 doesn't sound like its cutting it with the Wrath when shooting fast.

I'm no expert on CO2 problems but this is what I'd have to imagine would help fix the problem.

The Wrath is not made to use CO2 beacuse of it's high rates of fire and Electro-pneumatic design.

Your lucky your did not blow an Airline or your solenoid (These around $50+ to replace)

Here is why

CO2 is stored as a liquid in the tank, the liquid boils and turns into a gas at room temp. This stops when the pressure in the tank gets high enough to stop the liquid from turning to gas. The pressure this hapens at depends on the temperature of the tank. And at around 70* F this happens to be at around 800 PSI.

Now when you fire your gun you remove some of the gas from the tank. This causes the pressure in the tank to drop. So more of the liquid in the tank will boil to try and repressurize the tank again. How ever the boiling of the liquid also draws in heat and cools the tank alittle and also lowers the pressure alittle. Now if your shooting slowly the tank has a chance to warm back up and climb back to 800 PSI.

IF your shooting fast the tank cools off rapidly and the liquid in the tank can't boil fast enough to make enough gas. So the gun will start to draw liquid CO2 out of the tank. Some will boil between the ASA and the reg but not all of it.

Now to the regulator.
The regulator is made to open if the pressure drops below a set point and close once it get to that point. Kind of like the float in the toilet. This means that if your reg is set to say... 300 PSI it opens long enough to charge the gun to 300 PSI and close off the input pressure before the gun gets over charged.

Now lets say liquid CO2 has gotten pas the reg and in closed when the gun was at 300 PSI. So the chambers in the gun are charged to 300 PSI and have liquid CO2 in there, That Liquid CO2 is going to boil and become a gas just like it did in the tank. The pressure in the gun will now climb to at least 800 PSI (The same as the warm tank would have been). The Reg will let gas into the gun but not back to the tank so that extra pressure is going to try to find some way of getting out. By breaking something in the gun.

Best bet is to ditch the CO2 for that gun even if it has an Anti-siphon installed because liquid CO2 can still get in the gun. You can get a good Nitro/HPA tank for around $90

looks like they've alrady answered your question.

and pretty much what Mortisdeum said was that the co2 tank is nt maid for the wraith.
I had the same problem with my little tritonll, the first gun I had.
if you really like co2 for some reason, you could try getting one with a syphon tube, but you'd be better of with air.
