Kai sighed, thinking he was the one they most relied on. In short, making him do most of the things. "Ah fine then," he muttered, pulling out the map that was tucked inside the book. He opened it and laid it out on the ground, spread out.
Kana kneeled down as well in front of her brother, holding up a flashlight as it really was getting dark... fast.
"So. We're here," he said to the two, pointing to what seemed to be the school. "And we need to get here." He pointed to a city. "So we need to get past this forest... and past a bridge and we're there." All the while he was talking it seemed like it wasn't directed much at the two. It was more like he was talking to himself as he traced the path with his finger. "Well that's gonna be tiring," he said as he folded the paper and stood up, placing the map in his backpack.
"But we're gonna do it ne, oniichan?" she asked him as he looked back at the school and back to her.
"I'm not packing for anything, baka," he said as he walked past the two and into the forest.
"Oi wait!' she shouted back at him as she ran to catch up, hoping Jasmine won't fall from her head.

Jasmine held on, she didn't want to be dropped, but wondered what Kai was thinking of, and remembing that he was still her slave for the moment, she wondered wether he was ok. She didn't say anything though, but held on.

He took the lead into the forest, cutting up the vines and stuff crawling from every direction with his blade. "Darn it. Didn't expect I'd have to use this thing," he said, referring to the sword he held in hand. He looked directly forward, aided by the light the flashlight emitted.
"Neee... Shouldn't we stay and camp for a while?" asked Kana, who seemed tired and wanting to rest. Not only that, she was getting hungry... her stomach rumbling proves that.
"No, we're not camping," said Kai, moving forward. "We need to get out of this place. Think there's all kinds of beings here and you wouldn't want to die early, don't you?"
Kana gulped, agreeing with her brother as she moved forward behind him. "You alright there, Jas?" she asked her.
