I propose that the QCAD teens go to an anime convention as a group. 3nodding I don't know if you've done something like that with the group before, or if it's even possible. Anime Iowa is hosted in Coralville, Iowa (just about 2 hours from the QC) on August 10-12. We could even host our own room party.

stare I'd be willing to fund such an project... at least in part depending on how much it would cost.

Lemme see...

If we register before 6/30/07, it will be $35 a person. After that it's $50. In addition to that, there would be hotel rooms, travel costs, and what-have-you. I'm sure we can figure something out.

I talked with Joyce, and she seemed very possitive about the idea. It would still be something we would have to pass by the board, but QCAD may be able to cover some of the cost for the tickets and traveling expenses. Since it is so close, Joyce is thinking we could just drive down and back each day of the convention instead of renting out a hotel room. That would also cut down on the cost for multiple rooms and volunteers to keep an eye on you kids.

Any more ideas?
