Well I dont think it was EVERYONE but MOST people ^^lll
Ive met kids who would wear summer dresses and shorts (a much more casual style). The poofy dresses are still popular among little kids but not as much as when we were kids. I think its because the marketing that is done today forcus more on trendy stuff and less on the cute lolita.

I hated it when everyone dressed their little kids as that whole REBELDE crap!

Thats slutty in my opinion and i wish parents didnt do that whole slutty look for their children.

Anyhoo, you are adorable as a child, and no doubt about it, I will dress my kid in cute loli style clothes if i ever have one XP

I was lolita as a child, too. xD My parents loved dressing me up in little frilly dresses. I'll have to upload them sometime for you all to see. ^^

Edit 2: lol, I found one of my old childhood "lolita-like" dresses among the clothes pile in my mom's room. xD It's too small to fit me now, but it could pass off as a lolita dress if it were enlarged.
