Tarsonis, a class-M world, evolved life around 11,000 B.C. Earth Standard Years. The native Tarsonians are a tall, thin, and very regal-looking race of near-humans. They possess incredible abilities with their brains including increased memory, and thought processing. The Tarsonians had nearly evolved, technology-wise, to a space-faring race when the first scouting parties from Dojouro made contact with them. The Dojourian technology easily integrated into Tarsonian society. Tarsonis quickly joined the space exploration and colonization effort, settling first their moons, then the fourth planet in their system. When Dojouro proposed the Confederacy Empire Charter, Tarsonis was the first signer, though many would speculate later that the humans forced the Tarsonians to sign it. Tarsonis quickly became the Empire's center for medicine due to the prevalence of healing herbs on the surface and the Tarsonian ability for memory retention.

After Admiral Tahiri Veila Panjirinanu's flight from Dojouro, Tarsonis began to stockpiles weapons, vehicles and warships as well as training warriors in secret, because they knew that the Alliance would succeed and the leaders of Tarsonis planned to use this to their own gain. With the war coming closer to the Core, the Tarsonians shipped some of their new army to some of their allied worlds with orders to overthrow the Confederacy. All at once, the Tarsonian army threw off the Confederate government on more then ten planets and together they formed the Tarsonian Quadrant. Following the surrender of the Confederacy, around sixty planets joined the Tarsonian Quadrant. The new alliance immediately took a hostile stance toward the newly founded Galactic Federation. The Tarsonians built several new stations throughout their space and developed a small navy built at newly established shipyards.

At first, it seemed like the Galactic Federation would take no action against the rebel Tarsonian Quadrant, however, an entire fleet was soon dispatched to blockade Tarsonis. Tarsonis suffered greatly from the blockade, being cut off from their allies. Outside of the blockade, a desperate Tarsonian Quadrant began to attack civilian liners and medical transports, leading many in the populace of the Quadrant to question the policies of Tarsonis. As the Quadrant began to fall apart, a full scale invasion of Tarsonis occurred, however, by this time, the Tarsonians were far too disillusioned to put up a good resistance. Some even joined forces with the Federation troops. The treaty negotiated with the remaining Quadrant leadership forced the Tarsonians to dismantle their navy, most of their army and their foreign military bases. Any stations or shipyards they built at other planets would be ceded over to the planet's government. After a few years, Tarsonis applied to the Federation Senate as a member world and entered the Federation proper, however a Federation occupation remained on the planet for another ten years.
