The Dojouro Drive Yards were founded 9400 B.C. Earth Standard Years, by the burgeoning Confederacy Empire to produce warships for the newly founded Confederate Navy. Since then, the DDY has produced over seven thousand warships, providing seventy percent of the ships for the navy. As colonies began to spring up around the galaxy, the necessity for civilian ships rose, and the DDY expanded to produce civilian liners and transport ships as well. Even after other shipyards were established galaxy-wide, the Dojouro Drive Yards were still the most popular, and the most productive shipyard. At its inception, the Drive Yards had three functional yards, and as the Confederate Navy expanded, the necessity for ships rose and the Drive Yards expanded. Soon the DDY had pushed past ten yards and the necessity for permanent workers grew too high. A station was attached to the yards to house the workers for the facility. With a permanent residence for workers, the shipyards continued to grow and develop into a large structure across the sky. The Drive Yards continued to grow until the Commerce Guild, under order from the Confederate government, required the shipyard to stop expanding. At this time, the DDY employed over one hundred thousand workers.
During the civil war, the Dojouro Drive Yards continued to produce ships for the Confederacy, though many workers began to support the Restoration Alliance. During the Battle of Dojouro, the Confederacy attempted to render the shipyards inoperable when it became apparent that the Confederacy would lose. After the Empress was captured by the Alliance, the Confederate forces fighting to hold the yards surrendered. The shipyards were the first space-based asset to receive funds and repairs from the Galactic Federation Restoration Committee. The Dojouro Drive Yards were selected to construct the FSV Normandy, the test ship for the Warship Modernization Program.

On Approach to Shipyards
Many of the warships damaged during the clash with the Creator forces in the Janto System of the Terran Federation began moving into the primary shipyards of the Galactic Federation. Seventeen warships in need of massive repairs were towed into the yards in order to begin their repairs.

Flag Hanger, Federation Super Battleship Pride Dojouro Drive Yards, Dojouro Prime, Dojouro System
The shuttle of Fleet Admiral Tahiri Veila Panjirinanu arrived in the Flag Hanger of the new flagship for the Galactic Federation Armada. Already present were the chief builders of the flagship, Captain Apollo Odama, and the honor guard of marines. The builders welcomed the Fleet Admiral and quickly gave her a run through of all operational systems, then they boarded their transport and left the warship. Tahiri asked the Captain of her transport vessel to take her duffel bags to her quarters, then he was dismissed. Meanwhile, Fleet Admiral Veila Panjirinanu and Captain Odama were heading up to the bridge to move the warship out of the dock and into open space.
