Why are the prices so varied?
I mean...when I had my ears done the prices depended on the earring, and the most expensive earring I got was £13 which I thought was a bit extortionate. But then my friend said her lip piercing was £30 D:
I've wanted to get my lip done for ages but now I'm gonna have to wait even longer to save up if what she said is true. But I don't know if these prices slide as well.
Does anyone know the usual price? Ty<3

I think the estimate for a lip piercing in southern Indiana, where I am, is about $45 or $50. My bellybutton piercing was $40, and that was mostly the surgical steel barbell.
Piercings in places besides the ears are more expensive for a few reasons: -The piercer has to be more qualified. -Other peircings often require more skill to do; the ears are very simple. -The bar/ring/whatever is usually higher gauge, and therefore more metal and so more expensive than earrings.
I'm sure there are other reasons, but those are some of the main ones for the price change. :3

i have had 18 piercings and 3 tattoos.
(yes, i loves teh all)
but what it is is that it depends on where the piercings is, how famous the shop is and the jewelery.
my piercings and costs....from a well known shop
-ears (lobs) 70 for 5 [done at seperate times] -ear (cart.) 20 -navel (belly button) 35 -labret (middle of lip) 30 -snakebites (2 on lower lip) 60 -bridge (between the eyes on the bridge of nose) 45 -nape (done twice at spe. times) 120 -collar bones (above them) 120 -eyebrow (left) 25 -septum (bull ring) 20 -nose (left side) 30
approx cost :: 575

I was meaning in contrast to earring piercings. I got mine done at Claires (which I'll certainly never to again...) and I remember reading you don't really have to have any sort of actual training to use a piercing gun. And aren't most body piercing jewelry much higher gauge than earrings? I know my barbell is way thicker than my earring posts.

my MinD xX __ Where I live it's 15 dollars to get your ears pierced. So you can get your ears pierced 4 times here for 30 dollars.
Only 5 dollars more. I'm sure where you live getting your lip or your bellybutton pierced is more.
The reason why it costs more for lip piercings than ear piercings are because of the strategy.
You can get your ears pierced with a gun, even your cartridge. But you have to use a actual piercing needle to pierce anything else. Plus, you need professional people to do it. Since those parts of your body can get infected more easily than your ears (Except cartridge.)
So you pay more for the help, and the needles, etc. I've never seen a heart that I couldn't break.

In New Mexico, one lip piercing is $32. I have a ring on both sides of my lower lip, so it was $64. A belly-button piercing is $40.

It's outrageous how much piercings cost. I had 10 at one point (two in each ear lobe, upper ear, nose, lip, tongue, eyebrow, belly button) and it cost A LOT for a few. Others, I did myself, but I WOULD NOT recommend it at all!! I guess if you really want it... like REALLY!!!! want it, save up the money.
