And I need some advice.
I'm going up against a couple of guitarists and bassists that are I guess pretty good. It's really just a little rock off, if you will, against my friends so there's nothing really at stake.
The song I chose was Godzilla by Blue Oyster Cult. Is that good, or is there another I should choose if I want a good chance?

You can try and play something really easy.
That gives you all the room to go all crazy on stage.
A good performance seriously is the most important thing.. Way more important than the music itself sweatdrop

GO GO GODZILLA! awesome song, i would say that oyster cult is good because there heavy bass, so i would stick with that....love that song...

I would do something that is hard. true Blue Oister Cult's Godzilla is a gpood song to do for competition. ...and i should know because i do that song in my band......and its one of my favorite songs.....but a better song to do would prolly be John the Fisherman by Primus. the bass line is easy once you get it but its extremely hard to figure out. even with tabs. another good song to do is Roundabout by Yes

john the fisherman hurts soooo bad if you play it like les does... power chords for 3 minutes on bass strings... good lord. great song though, and it's a whole helluva lot of fun to play.
