The pirates of the ‘Hades’ were a notorious bunch, or so the rumours said!
The men who served directly under the pirate king! The most notorious elf to ever sail the seas!
No one knew his origin, but all feared his name, ‘Caspian Aurelius’ and his ship’s black sails struck fear into men’s hearts
“The Madness of Hades” Men would say, is a ship wrenched up from Hell itself with a crew of murderous barbaric outlaws who would as soon a kill each other as they would steal lie and cheat a complete stranger, these men didn’t have hearts! They cared only for wealth and revelled in death and pain.
Things however were not quite this dark on the well cared for decks of the ‘Hades’. The rumours were encouraged actively, it was easier, and ultimately more humane if the citizens of towns fled at the sight of their ship rather than standing to fight them, it saved lives and made things easier for the pirate king and his crew.
They had been together a long time; elves didn’t really have to worry about death after all, and since Caspian had taken his place as Captain his men had been with him, like a bizarre inversion of Robin Hood and his merry men.
They did pillage, they were pirates after all, and they were thieving scoundrels, but the spared as many lives as they could, and never violated others bodily, or caused undue damage to other peoples property. Why tell people that though? It was easier to let rumours do most of your job for you!
The captain wasn’t the only well known figure on the ship however, his pet, an errant flamingo was notorious among the crew, finding its biggest delight in tormenting the captain and his crew, believe you me you know about it when a flamingo tries to perch on your shoulder… Zaelia is in the habit of pouncing on the men, stealing their food, running at people, squawking with the intent of making the crew jump, and even sometimes trying to sneak a drink of rum. She is a little monster, but for some reason Caspian just can’t bring himself to part with the stupid bird.
The final and newest person on the ship, who cannot really be described as a crew man, is Macy Tresquax, Caspian’s chosen partner, and as of their arrival back in the labyrinth, his fiancé. Macy is a lively, and sometimes haughty young man who seems to care a lot of the pirate king, enough to give him the respect he gives to few others, he felt very out of place and nervous when he first went aboard the ship, but slowly began to warm to the crew and befriended a fair few of them. There was also that one time when he got very drunk in the galley…
Recent events have caused a turbulent time for the captain and his crew, Caspian himself was captured quiet recently, with the intent of being put to death, but the notorious man escaped, and his crew, meeting him at an appointed place were able to rescue him, but the chase before hand, with the “Redemption” hot on their tail for three days why quite dramatic! Finally though, obviously, the Hades was boarded, and guns and swords were drawn, before the Naval captain managed to get his hands on Macy, and subdue the Pirate King and his crew…
Thankfully this has passed, and though word went out that Caspian had been destroyed, this was not however, the case.
