There are way better cars out there for drag racing.

The car is sort of underpowered when it comes to straight line speed. They're expensive because of the RWD and the suspension setup. Anyone who drag races one of these things is handicapping themself. They're not designed for that kind of racing.

The Honda S2000 currently holds the record for the fastest tuned RWD car at Tsukuba Circuit, with the Top Fuel S2000 Turbo at 55.8 seconds. It's followed closely by R-Magic's FD3S, and the normally aspirated ASM-tuned S2000, both clocking in the 56.5~1 range.

The fastest tuned car lap ever round that track is 53.5 seconds by the HKS CT230R Lan-EVO IX. The CyberEvo EVO VII and the M-SPEED BNR34 Skyline GT-R is close behind, in the 54 second range.

But thanks for bumping this, it reminded of something I wanted to post on here anyway:

The new Honda S2000 CR is almost here.

It features a drastically over-engineered suspension upgrade, aero upgrade, and weight reduction. No horsepower upgrade, but apparently the S2000 CR is supposed be two full seconds faster than the basic S2000 on Honda's infamous test track.

I agree and I have one lol. Evo's are much better drifting cars, I would kill for an evo.
