I find my self in a creative quagmire.
I've been painting with a nerfed a$$ version of Photoshop known as Elements. It sucks...user friendly to the point of being hostile.
What I mean to say is I'm in the market as it were, for a new imaging program.
I'm torn between full-out Photoshop, Corel Painter, Open Canvas, or whatever I can't think right now. Opinions are welcome.
Thnx

I work with elements, and it's fine for me. Personally, Corel angers me, it saves the images [usually] in some funky format.
Open Canvas is Free, and it's great, beacuse you can connect. So if you do some networking.
Full out Photoshop is expensive, so unless you are willing to shell out numbers in the hundreds if not Thousands [for the professional, completely new one].
Always try the stickyed art fourm for some nice links. If you wanted to do a specific STYLE, that would affect your choice, A LOT.

Thnx for the info
my biggest problem with Elements was closing the program down and coming back later to find ALL THE SETTINGS DIFFERENT! scream I'm not talking "reset to default" different, but completely random stuff. Yeah, time t move on... Anyway Open Canvas sounds pretty good. I'm going do some research on it.
thnx again

You can always search online for a free image editing program called GIMP.
It's similar too and different from photoshop at the same time. But its good for free! biggrin
