since it was last friday, and I asked the day before, I did a trio of "The Duct Tape Madrigal" not very good I know. I expect a chorus role will be more fun anyways. Plus, I don't have the accompnimant for any plays, except Into the woods, Oliver, and Annie(bleck), and Joseph and the technicolor Dreamcoat.

Easy Street is great. The rest of it you can knock, though.

Mister I love auditions when they're not for musicals. The only musical that I have tried out for so far, I froze up during my song and forgot the words (the musical director sat in the back and mouthed the words for me, and somehow I got through). I kind of like cold readings so long as I can practice it before hand with my fellow partners in crime. And I really love improv if I get a topic that I can go off of and I have a partner. Normally I can get the rest of the auditioners to start laughing. I like reading for straight plays too. I tend to freak out a little bit when doing singing auditions for musicals. I have no problem singing in front of a croud under normal circumstances, but auditons are never fun.... And you are right. Cold readings are MUCH easier with a group. I recently tried out for Sound of Music, and they had us read in groups. It was pretty easy. I didn't make the musical, but the director did tell me that he was impressed with my acting skills, so that's a plus! I feel like there's hope for next year. If not the musical, then the straight play. As for this year, it's my first time being a techie. It looks like it will be alot of fun... I hope so.

Ugh, I hate singing auditions. Especially a capella. I learned that singing to the clock way above the audience helps with the nervousness, but still. Then again, I felt a lot better after hearing the other guys sing. One sounded like a cow and all of the others rushed through offkey or rapping.
