Rikimaru didn't understand why the female beta was being so hard on herself, but he wanted it to stop. "No, it was my choice to bring you here. Don't blame yourself for anything that's happened." He swam closer to her, so they were face to face.
"I don't want you to be so hard on yourself. It will only bring your spirits down, and you won't be able to stay strong against the creatures of this water."
"I do believe they'll come back when we leave." He said to Sigh. "And I'm not going to let you face them on your own. I brought you here, I'll get you out of here."
He put a fin to her face, "I don't think you're weak." He said. "You just arn't realizing how strong you really are." He reached to wipe a tear from her face, but she began to fall to the floor of the cave. He quickly swam under her to catch her before she hit the ground, and carried her to the bed of kelp that he prepared for her when they arrived at the cave and layed her down, worried about her safety, hoping that nothing serious is ailing her.

She sniffled weakly but allowed herself to be carried over to the soft kelp bed. When she couldn't keep the tears back anymore, she let them out and they streamed freely into the surrounding water. Slowly the tears faded away, and it felt as if her strength went with it. Sigh held on to one of Rikimaru's fins with her own and smiled at what he said.
"Thank you for being so good to me," she whispered softly. She tried to rest, but every time she closed her eyes she saw the images of the eels speeding toward them and snapping their jaws at her. Sigh opened her eyes and clung to Rikimaru's fin. "Please... please stay with me... Rikimaru."
As strong as the ninja Beta said she was, Sigh felt that she couldn't be strong without someone by her side. Though she barely knew it herself, she needed him.

"I felt compelled to help you. Not just because you were lost, but I felt some greater force telling me that I must help you." He didn't let go of her fin, but stroked Sigh's cheek with his other fin. "I won't leave you." He said with as much reassurance in his voice that he could muster. "You are safe here with me, don't be afraid."
Rikimaru waited there with her, not aware of how much time was passing, but he would wait with her for as long as it took. He whispered comforting words to her as he held onto her fin and stroked her face, trying to take her mind away from what may be waiting for them.
He was confident that when light came outside, they would be gone.
They didn't have to wait much longer, he could see a little light from a small hole near the top of the cave, hardly big enough for the smallest of beta to fit a fin through.

Sigh blushed a little at Rikimaru's words, wondering what he meant by them, but kept silent. Her eyes fluttered shut as he brushed his fin against her cheek. He made her feel so safe, so at home.
Although she knew she had only just met him, and under unfavorable circumstances at that, Sigh could not help but wish she could stay here with this mysterious male Beta whose very presence represented safety and strength. She felt his fin warm around her own and she opened her eyes to reaffirm the fact that he was still there. She gazed into his green eyes with trust, as if she were drawing strength from their depths.

(( sweatdrop Kind of a late announcement, but since Hito and I sort of agreed that these two are kinda hard to RP together, we decided not to go through with the breeding. Thus the RP is pretty much over and both Betas are free for RP again. ))
