There's an article on yahoo news about 28 new planets that have been discovered outside our solar system! They said that there's also a planet almost the same size as Neptune. It's called Gliese 436 (GJ 436). It's made out of 50 percent rock and about 50 percent water. So, any comments on it?

In the past decade, I think scientist have found over a hundred planets outside our solar system orbting other starts. There is so much in our universe that can be discovered. The discoveries are limitless.

My favorite new planet that they have discovered over the years is Eris. It's awesome. It's the name that's so cool. But I think we're going to run out of names for the new planets.

They have discovered over 200 exoplanets in man's history.
I am not suprised that they found a Neptunian-sized rock body, but I would be suprised if they found an earth-sized body, because it is harder to find earth-sized planets.
Thirdly, what type of water is it? Is it liquid methane, H2O, or liquid carbon, or what type?

I think that is pretty interesting, but there is still more to be discovered in our universe.

I would find a planet with high volcanic activity more interesting than the Neptune Sized planet. But still if it could support life then that would be a great find.

It's fantastic that we can discover all these planets, but the challenge is actually getting to these planets. We're decades away from a propulsion system that's fast enough to take us to these planets in our lifetime.
It would be really interesting to find a planet that could support human life, there must be a few out there, but the universe is so big. If we did find one, it'd be a good back-up plan, for when we finally ruin our planet.:'D ilovecomments
