weight =/= health.
It's something I've always believed in. Just cause a person is over/under weight, it doesnt mean they are unhealthy. obviously there are cases of both in the extreme but thats another point altogether.
If anyone has never heard of Pen and Teller: Bullshit, lemme tell you.
Pen and Teller are the fat man/mute man comedy duo who landed their own show on showtime a couple years ago, exposing common and popular misconceptions, myths, and beliefs in our society.
and they tackled the subject of weight in one of their shows.
PnT: BSyou will have to navigate unfortunately because tvlink is a beeyotch!
go to shows and then Pen and Teller: Bulls**t (their weight episode is titled Obesity)
while not exactly scientific in their approach when the physcially test the whole weight = health idea in the fat guy olympics. i believe they do prove a point in this episode.
and for all of us that love boobies...theres a breast hysteria episode as well.... (NOT WORK SAFE! and since it was on showtime...its an +18 episode...not my fault if you get caught or even watch it. sweatdrop ) heart and then it got me thinking about truths, urban legends and what not.
obviously to put in disscussion:
what are some things you believe/ed to be true but later found out to be false?
urban legends? (missing an kidney
xd gonk )
conspiracies?
your thoughts on health and weight..
anything else that pretains to the topic so it doesnt get locked up.
sorry for the block of text but i like to type obviously....and i like stimulating peoples minds
