Ok, this has been confusing me alot since I can never determine where the boundry line is for god moding and not. So could like someone give me an example of the two. Like where the limit lies. thanks

EXPL: Joey stabs bob in the heart.~~~Bob was a showdow clone and the real one threw Kunia at Joey.~~~Joey dodges and throws an exploding kunia onto Bob.~~~this was another shadow clone~~~Bob threw a Fuuma Shuriken at Joey.~~~ Joey dodged again and made a barrier of explodeing tgs around bob who was now in a dome of tags.~~The real Bob was in danger so he didnt move.~~~Joey set off the tags and a load explosion occured.~~Bob was unharmed and was Now INVINCIBLE!!!!!!~~~Joeysays' THats NOT FAIR YOU SHOULD BE DEAD YOU GOD MODER!!!!!!"
Bob was booted the next day and joey hated him forever...

heh, nice mrgreen . Ok. that does help. stupid bob evil . so wouldn't auto hitting and god moding be put under the same category

hm.. and here i thought auto-hitting was god-moding.. as well as controlling other players' characters in other ways, making characters that appear to be all-powerful...i'm sure that my (irl) rp-ing friends and i came up with a list of offenses.. if only i could remember where we put it...

The way I see it, there are four forms of godmoding. I know I'm probably guilty of 1 and 2 to a lesser degree. These are really extreme, but fitting nonetheless.
1. Invincibility- When a character comes out unscathed from an attack that should have killed him outright. (i.e. Jay shoves a Chidori through Silent Bob's heart, and somehow SB survives and runs Jay through with his sword)
2. Meta-Thinking- Characters knowing things they couldn't have possibly known in a million years. (Jay has killed the Hokage. Somehow, Silent Bob, who is off fighting Barney in Hidden Sand, automatically knows the Hokage is dead, when he has no way of ever knowing this.)
3. Auto-hitting- Just what it sounds like. Often along the lines of "Silent Bob pulled out a knife and stabbed Jay through the heart." when a more proper post would be "Silent Bob pulled his knife from his belt, aiming the blade at Jay's heart"
4. The infamous 'D34T|-| |-|4X ||0 JUT5U'- Basically, killing a character instantly, without the owner's permission. A big no-no. And I apologize for mutilating the English language.

There are some Jutsu that cna kill a peson with out there COnsent Kaguya Captures a nin in the water prison Jutsu a requirement of it is that you have your arm in the prison at all times. Well the water prison jutsu makes ti so the person inside cant move the kaguya then extends the bones in hsi arm to peirce the nin in the water prison this kills him cause it unavoidable that is one of the few cases that you can kill another RPer with out there permission and yes Tosh says that thsi si possible.

Also, there are some instances that there is such a difference in stats, say an Akatsuki vs a Genin that they Akatsuki could kill the Genin before the Genin even blinked because there would be nothing he or she could do to avoid the attack.

Well what I meant was an INSTANT death, as in just going 'kablam you die' without any kind of fight or whatever. As in just 'appearing' in front of a character and killing them right there. Sorry if I didn't make that clear. sweatdrop

There seems to be a slight invincibility problem around these days... I mean, characters just out of the academy trying to kill each other, wounding each other enough to make any real person pass out until they die from blood loss, or have massive bad things happen to their system because of shock, or both, or be hurt enough to be incapacitated... and yet, I'm seeing these characters get up and run off to the hospital or other medical-type place, nevermind that academy-fresh genin really shouldn't be able to inflict such serious wounds, anyway, even if it is on another academy-fresh genin... stare
But yes, to see Haku Needles' point, with characters that have high stats against characters with first or second-year genin-level stats, the genin should probably not be able to dodge, or even perceive the attack made against them, unless they have the sharingan or something, or ridiculously high stats... like a few I could probably name here...
God-moding pisses me off. Especially the invincibility type. That just bends common sense into an obscene and physically-impossible knot.
