The adventures, trials, and celebrations of the lives of the kunkuns and myself in the world of Kyendi will be archived below under one of the three headers.
Written in first person format by either myself, Olly, or Vyktor. In the case of the kunkuns they will merely be recordings of their thoughts. I write in this colour Olly thinks in this colour Vyktor thinks in this colour
Written in third person, either an extended personal RP or an amalgamation of several others' writing edited and condensed by myself.
Articles written from my research on kunkuns. These will appear in Zydeco's paper as well. They are written sporadically whenever something of interest comes about. All information presented within will be approved and edited by Rasu herself.

Ah, Kyendi again. It's nice to be around here, seeing all the kunkun and kyunru again. Not many people have filtered back quite yet, so kunkuns are still rare, but I have a feeling that more'll come around when things start to pick up.
I've taken a room in the quarters provided, but I haven't had much time to spend there really. As of yet I aven't even met an ieldi face to face. I would love to though, I hear a whole bunch of stories, and I believe I've seen them flitting about. Two were in the pond the other day, but by the time I actually got up to the tree they had left, probably back to their shelves.
I've taken a job as a freelance researcher about the kunkuns, so most of my days are spent trekking through the meadows and fields around here trying to locate the little things. Unfortunatly I haven't seen many other than Olly and Vyk, though Olly tell me he had met one...something to do with a blueberry. I have noticed, however, that silver strings seem to be appearing everywhere in the forest. Olly has something to do with them, I'm sure. He mentioned Vyk. It's hard ot get him to hold still long enough to get a full answer -or even an answer of more than a few words- out of him. I'm becoming quite proficcient in kunkunese, which is proving useful since with Valk gone I'm taking care of Vyktor as well. He tends to speak in kunkun more thna he does in english. His accent's rather cute, Olly enjoys it very much. Then again, the pair of them enjoy each other very much.
I caught them in the kitchen early this morning. Olly and Vyk have been sleeping in the room with me lately. Olly disappears fo a few hours during the day, then comes back and the pair of them disappear, then they come back and Olly once more goes off. By the time he returns he looks quite tired and is quite happy to find a spot to sleep. They've taked a liking to one of my older shirts...the pocket seems to be thier favourite spot to sleep. But anyway, in the kitchen. The pair of them had gotten a cookie from somewhere. It was nearly as big as them both put together, but they were determined to eat it all. I think they only got half way through it, by the time I'd returned with my empty tea cup. They fell asleep on the counter, but then Olly perked up and led a groggy Vyk off for one of their adventures.
They really are cute, though I worry about Vyktor. He's so small and...helpless. If it weren' for Olly he'd be so sad and lonely, not able ot do anything. It must be horribly confusing for him to know where he is when he's flying...the poor little guy. Olly's there to help though, and he seems happy when they're together.
I've got to start thinking of some topics to look into for my research. I think I'll start soon, after I get myself settled and learn the lay of the land around here a bit better. There's been a bit of a commotion lately, according to Zydeco's paper. I completely missed it, and hearing about it makes me kind of glad that I did. Maybe when things die down more kunkuns will appear.

Olly leaves so often now, it makes me sad. I get so lonely when he's not here to lead me around and then I feel lost.
Chayse is very kind and tells me Olly will come back, but I worry. Olly always comes back though, which makes me happy.
He won't tell me what he is doing, but I know Olly is doing something for me. He is very tired at the end of the day, and comes back at lunch and dinner. He always falls fast asleep when he's finished food. We sleep in a 'pocket'. That's what Chayse calls it. We both fit in it and it is nice and warm and comfortable for us. Our wings never get scrunched.
Olly is my very favourite kunkun, and I worry whne he leaves. But before he goes he always tells me he will be back, and that Vyktor is his favourite kunkun too. In the morning he tells me what he has seen and who he has met, but never what he has done. He will tell me though, and it will be surprise, like he says. And I will be very happy.

Vyk was very happy to see me when I came back to the Big Tree today. He is always happy to see me because he tells me I am his favourite kunkun ever. He is mine too.
I do not like leaving him alone, but Chayse does watch him and Vyk gets day anyway. I go as fast as my wings can while I work, but I get distracted sometimes. There are many other things in the forest, and I need to have stories to tell Vyk.
I go back as fast as I can and two times a day. I eat with him and bring back food too, if I can find it. It is windy out today and so I could not bring him out to play in the flowers like he likes.
I get very tired from working all day. I work hard and I hope Vyktor will like my work. I do it for him, because he is my most favourite kunkun and I do not want to lose him. It is hard to keep working, but I do. I get tangled sometimes, but I keep trying. I will not tell him, he will be happy when he learns though.
Soon I will be done and Vyk and Olly can play all day. I am very sleep now though, and Vyktor understands. He likes to hum for me when we sleep in the 'pocket'. We will sleep somewhere else soon. It is pretty and I work hard for Vyktor.

Things always seem to happen when I'm away. Honestly, I decide to begin my research on kunkun behaviour, with Olly and Vyk as my convenient specimens, and look what happens!
I was out in the woods with the pair, taking notes in my journal, and all of a sudden I hear a huge crash, Olly makes a loud squeak of 'Tamal' which I later recognized as 'tree', and dashes off pulling Vyktor behind him. That basically left me to run stumbling through the underbrush, back to the path, and back to the village where they had went. Imagine my horror when I saw the tree, not tall and proud like it once was, but toppled over in ruins.
A quick look around assured me everyone had been evacuated. I saw Olly and Vyk over by a pantheon, who I later identified as Chronos, and then joined the few people that were determined to salvage things. It took me quite a bit of digging, but I managed to come away with most of Olly and Vyk's favourite things, some fairly undamaged clothing, and a few knicknacks. My journal was luckily with me, as were a few things in my backpack. I'm glad I didn't lose this thing.
While digging I managed to discover from snippets of conversation that the pantheon that had been released in the last adventure I missed had come to the tree. Vlasti -that was his name- was the pantheon of death, and apparently he and the chaos pantheon Siff had gotten into a fight while Siff tried to protect the tree. Anhema was involved too, but she apparently got hurt by some sort of spell.
After I'd salvaged all I could I decided to get out of everyone's way and headed off into the woods, aiming for a clearing I knew of. I spotted Olly and called him down, but the little kunkun was so upset that he just rambled at me about finding a place for him and Vyk to hide. I was surprised, to say the least. I've never seen Olly that mad before. He was acting very protective over Vyktor. I let them go, I know no one can catch a kunkun who can't be found. Olly has his hiding spot, and I'm not even sure where it is.
I was about to keep going when I heard this choaked screaming and turned back to find Youko and her little ieldi. The poor thing was distraught and terrified and was screaming so much she started to cough up blood. I offered one of my salvaged toys to her, a small white unicorn, in hopes that it would calm her down. Chronos and another pantheon I wasn't familiar with came over to help as well, and I decided to head out and stay out of everyone's way.
Of course, now I can't find a single person, and Olly, who has come back sporadically, always clinging to Vyktor, has told me they left on an adventure.
I just hope nothing goes wrong like last time...

Olly is very angry. Olly was out in the woods with me to show Chayse kunkun things and all of a sudden there was a big BOOM and Olly raced back to the tree and pulled me too. The tree fell over. Olly is very very angry, and scared too. Olly has taken me away to hide and will not leave me.
This makes me happy, because Olly is my most favouritest kunkun. The tree falling over makes me sad though, and scared and angry too, like Olly. There was a big fight with the magical ones. I don't know why they would hurt the tree, they are supposed to be good and friendly.
I hope the tree comes back. Until then we are hiding. I don't know where. We see Chayse sometimes, ans we have lots of food, so it is comfortable. I like being with Olly, he protects me.

I am very angry! The tree fell over when I was showing Chayse kunkun things so he gets smart! There was a big noice and then the tree went sideways on the ground. There is a very big mess, and many kyun and kunkuns have left. People left too, they went on an adventure I think.
I am worried for Vyktor so I hid him. I hid me too, and that way no one will find us. The magical people did this, they say. It is sads because the magical people are supposed to be good. Some are, I think, like Chronos and the green one. He looks like tree leaves...
I see Chayse sometimes. He is sleeping in the woods. He gives us food, because he finds some himself, but I get food too. I told him where berries are.
I hope people come back with a new tree soon. I miss everyone. There are no kunkuns here, I think they all got scared away.
I would be scared too, but Vyktor is my favouritest kunkun and he can't see, so I have to keep him safe. He hugs me when I'm scared. It makes me feel better, because I am always scared now.

I finally managed to join the rest of the group from the tree in Sabilasi village, the new place that Rasu discovered. The oddest thing about it though, is that the way to get to it is through a portal.
On top of Durem Clock tower.
Interesting, to say the least.
I'm quite estatic about a few things, so I'll do my best to write them in order.
Firstly, the area is gorgeous. This new village is made in the roots of a tree, and sort of conforms to them, No bulldozing and building here, everything matches the surrounding area. What I'd expect of course, but it's done so beautifully! There are quite a few houses, one of which has a glowing light something like that of a lighthouse. I've heard it's a lumina hive. I will, of course, need to do more research on what these lumina really are. There's a garden and several trees, also a pair of teleportation pads that people have been warned away from quite yet.
I must confess, I'm very curious about where these may lead...
A stream also runs through the middle of the courtyard-type area. All in all, it's quite a beautiful place.
Secondly, Olly and Vyktor seem quite happy with this place. Olly's calmed down considerably, and he seems quite happy to rearrange his little seceret hiding place among the upper branches of the canopy that cover the clearing.
I only have a few worries, but I'm sure those will prove to be of little consequense. Olly's taking a lot of time with Vyktor to make sure he knows the layout of this new place. He's decribed everything until Vyktor can recite it word for word, and taken him on arial tours and everything. I just hope he can adapt. It doesn't seem too confusing for him, but Olly won't leave him for very long anyway, so it should work out fine.

Well, I did my research article...more like a set of observations really, and gave it to Rasu to look over just because she knows a bit more than me and I value her input.
I got it passed.
Of course, this make me very happy. I'm working on a little sketch of one of them to include with the paper when Zydeco puts it out. I know she's working on a Christmas edition, or a winter holiday edition, or whatever, so it would make a nice little add-on, since it's probably too boring to read if it's on its own.
Olly's been calming down a bit, and I'm glad. I saw another little kunkun around that I haven't seen in a while...a little silver one named...er...I believe it's 'Seraph' but I could be wrong. It's nice to see the little things again, I just hope more come about.
I'm just worrying over my articles now, I suppose. You know, trying to figure out what topics to write on and how to go about researching a creature who is intelligent without a doubt, but also too flighty and distracted (most of the time) to get a good interview from. I don't suppose a society can be chaotic and stil manage to function. Of course, their lives with a human companion will have changed their behaviour significantly, but in the wild there seems to be at least a loose form of heirarchy. I'm interested in celebrations and festivals, that sort of thing, that are traditionally performed. All societies have them, and most are at regular intervals...
I'm getting into too much detail I think, this should be mor explored in a research article. Maybe I'll start keeping a list.
