Last year I came up with an idea for a broadway musical...Now I wanna know what you all think of it!
"Abstract"
So, I'm gonna make this as easy to explain as possible. So, the star is Audrey Lyman, or for short as everyone calls her "Al". Which makes sense. (severly making fun of myself?) Throughout the whole thing she 'looks like a guy'. At the beginning, she entertains herself by hitting on women pretending to be a guy, and then 'boom, ha ha, I'm a chick. Sorry'. But, she constantly insists she's straight.
Simple 'nough, right?
So, she meets a man named Jordan...Jordan is gay, and as soon as he sees "Al", he falls head over heels because...he thinks Audrey "Al" is a guy. So, assuming "I'm straight" Audrey goes out with this man. She likes him...sorta. But, whenever he tries to kiss her, she flinches. She feels uncomfortable when he talks about "I wanna pound that a**" (Jordan is a pervert, just so you know). She misses just playing with the girls. Why? She's straight, isn't she?
As for Jordan, he not only thinks "Al" is cute, but he really likes 'his' personality. In fact, he falls in love...Uh oh!
So, Al finally feels guilt and admits that she's a woman. Jordan is heart-broken and leaves. So, for a while, they don't see each other because Jordan is heart-broken and hurt and Al feels incredibly guilty.
Within the while, Al finally discovers "I'm a lesbian." Of course! That's why she never felt comfortable around Jordan, even when she admitted the truth. She doesn't tell her other friends though.
So, in hope to apologize, she makes an arrangement to see Jordan at the pier at 6:00. Now, her one friend, Holly, is a b***h. She's a homophobic bible-thumper. She doesn't know Al's a lesbian, but she does know Jordan's gay (she supported Al dating him because she thought it would turn him straight and 'in touch with God'). She hears of the arrangment and goes before Al goes. She meets up with Jordan and hisses, "Leave Audrey alone. She likes men who like women. She's not intrested in faggots, so leave. She doesn't need to be involved with Satan like you."
Jordan, hurt again (man, life ain't great for him, huh?) leaves. Audrey comes and finds...Holly? Holly tells her 'she saved her sole' and sent Jordan away. Audrey gets pissed and goes on this huge rampage, "You know what? I'm lesbian! That's right, I'm a lesbian! I guess I'm going to hell too! ******** off!" and storms off.
So, they don't know where each other are. But it's obvious: They like each other's personalites, but their disgust in each other's physical make up is pulling them away. (Shut up, I don't care if this doesn't make sense)
Al, luckily gets her dad's inheritance, and makes a desicion. She'll get a sex change. "I'm not gonna be selfish anymore, if Jordan wants a man, fine. I'll just live with it. And if he doesn't like it, I'll just be a straight guy. Whatever." ((She does wanna be a guy anyways, don't worry)) She gets the sex change and rushes to his apartment, looking for him. He's gone, though. Moved out. Gone. ((Actually, he's in the Navy, so he went back))
Al is sad and just leaves...
5 years later. Al's at a bar, talking to some woman. He buys her a drink, he's celebrating so he might as well celebrate with someone. And he tells her his whooooole life story of why he's 'celebrating' his 5th year of his operation.
Guess what? The woman, is Jordan! He made the exact same decision that Al made for the same reasons! And they pretty much are like 'yeah, yer a girl! Yay, yer a guy! Huzzah' and get together in the end.
Weird huh? I made up some of the songs too.

That is so awesome, I would so watch it over and over! I'd probably fall in love with poor Jordan, though. sweatdrop
You said 'saved her sole' I wanna know why Holly cares about Audrey's shoes.

She doesn't know Audrey's a lesbian. Yet. When she admits it, yeah, then she doesn't give a rat's a**. But, before, they're friends, but Audrey doesn't tell Holly everything, like what she does at bars and such. Holly's a scary chick! burning_eyes
