Legend told of one who adored the sea
so much that day by day he would await the tide.
On the night of the full moon, he laid eyes upon her,
creature of the sea, so beautiful, so enticing.
He wished to bask in her beauty,
So he gave her his heart.
She told him to return one month,
And she would give him hers.
Diligently returning on the next full moon,
He waited and waited.
Again and again he returned,
His love and his heart still missing.
Each full moon he wails his heartbroken song,
'Come back, come back to me.'
He calls to his love long lost.
Like a ghostly siren to the night,
he is bound to the moonlit shore
for each full moon's last score.
