see, what i belive is a little different. i don't believe "God" created us. (i'm going to use "God" in quotes because i believe something different. i don't want to offend anyone by doing this. it would just take too long to type out what i believe.) i think that there is no sin. there is only karma. sometimes tradtional sins can give horrible consiquences, and sometimes not. depending on the situation. example: say a man cheats on his wife, but still loves her with all his heart. when she finds out, she divorces him. does he need that punishment on top of hell because he sinned?

Well that makes sense. In what I believe, "Karma" would be the world's term for "God's natural punishment". In that type of situation, my beliefs would say hell is not a punishment, only a consequence for lifelong sins. If he were a Christian, sure adultery is a sin, but by the grace of God he can be relieved of it. God forgives and forgets, unlike humans who forget and forgive!
The burden of sin is indeed punishment enough!
