So has anyone else gone to see Pirates 3 yet?
I went last night. I thought it was really good. It made me cry though, and I never ever cry at movies. It's okay though. Don't worry, there are no spoilers in this thread.
So in my opinion, it was just as good as the other two. Although it was almost 3 hours long, I still enjoyed it very much and didn't feel that the length was too much. The movie did an excellent job of keeping me interested and not wondering when the heck it would be over. The action sequences are good, the acting of course is amazing. I've heard that some people had a hard time following it, but I think that that could only be because they haven't seen the other two. I had no trouble following it.
I did notice, though, that in one scene, when Beckett is having some tea before a battle, he drops a big lump of sugar in his tea, stirs it once, then takes a sip. There is no way the sugar would've dissolved that fast.
So what's your opinion? Like it or not? I loved it.

I think it was pretty good. I felt like the plot was moving a bit slowly, but I was still interested. I was just expecting more to happen in three hours. xd And visually, it was one of the most beautiful movies I've ever seen. The effects were absolutely wonderful!

I agree, the effects were amazing. That's one thing that has made the POTC movies so unique, the effects make it so real. Like with Davy Jones, his character looks so real, but all of that is done with animation. It's so hard to believe that it's not real when you see such amazing effects.

I'm a total whore for good CGI. This movie was like crack for me.
Still, it dragged on a little too long. And the plot was a little...eh. Not so good at times.
Jack hallucinating was adorable, though. Ohmigod, I love him. ><♥ {G.pop}™

It absolutely love it. But, being the obsessive person I am, there's no surprise in that. Albeit, the ending did throw me off a little, I was not expecting that until (beware-spoiler here--> wink Will got stabbed, and then in my mind I was thinking "Hoshit! That's really how it's gonna work out?!" And of course, I loved that Pintel and Ragetti got bigger roles in this one. heart
I also mourn the (beware-another spoiler--> wink loss of Davy Jones. He was awesome, and you all know it.

SuperLizard-sorry I edited your post. I just want to make sure that anyone reading this doesn't read something they didn't want to read if they haven't seen it.
G!Pop-I loved Jack's hallucinations. You're right, completely adorable. I love him.

Give me Leonard Cohen afterworld.I saw it yesterday!! I loved when Jack was hallucinating...I was like "Miss Neyens(my chemistry teacher) would love that!" cos she's got a thing for Johnny Depp. She saw it before all of us and told us to stay through the credits to see the ending.
I loved the ending. 3nodding
So I can sigh eternally.
