Mignon's mouth opened into a perfect circle as she held onto the display for dear life. It slammed into the ground and she flew off, landing on her stomach. She was silent for a moment before starting to scream one of her 'siren' class screams. Very loud and very high pitched.
The sound reached Dhee's ear's quickly. He cupped his hands over them and cringed. "I left her alone. What did Jeane tell me? Never leave her alone." He gave Indu an apologetic smile. "She's not bad, execpt that she screams bloody murder whenever she doesn't get her way!"

Indu nodded, eyes wide as she heard Mignon's wrath for the first time. She had to nod at the door, as both of her ears were covered.
"We'd better go in!"
Jani squeezed her eyes shut and held her tiny hands over her ears. After a long moment she opened an eye and scooted closer to the screaming girl to see if she was okay. She looked fine, so why was she yelling like that? Jani almost never cried, for which Indu was grateful. The babe had to shout to be heard.
"MIH-EEE SHHHHHHHHHH!"

And just as quickly as it started, her screams stopped. She rubbed her stomach gently. "Owwie. That hurt!" She snuffled a few more times. "Are you okay, Jani? Did anything hit you?"
Dhee entered and was releived when her screams stopped. "You should have kept it up, Miggy. I can still hear." He said, a bit grouchily.
"I fell and hurt my belly." She explained. Dhee groaned at the sight of the collapsed display.

Jani bent and picked up the video Mignon had been going for, no, she wasn't hurt at all. The videos had seemed to just miss her.
"Mih-eee?"
She held it up, seeking the older girl's approval and ignoring both of the almost-deaf adults.
Indu yawned to pop her eardrums and shook her head slowly, looking at the mess.

Dhee watched the approaching clerks warily. He leaned over to Indu and whispered: "If they look like they're going to attack, grab the little noiseboxes and run. I'll try and handle this."
Mignon took the box gratefully. "Thanks, Jani! We need to find you a movie, too." The girl said, not noticing the fuss she'd created. She blinked once or twice and smiled up at Indu. "Hiya, Indu! This move looks good, and I don't think it's 'Hentai' this time!" She said, grinning.

Indu blinked at the little girl for a moment, then burst into laughter. She dropped to one knee and did something she didn't do often. Hugged Mignon.
"You, are a delightful little girl."
She stood and eyed the clerks, almost growling when they opened their mouths to say something. They were getting paid to take care of messes like this.
"Choose a movie, Sjaji-girl."
Jani stared at the pile on the floor, having no idea what to do. She hesiated then pulled one out at random. Shaun of the Dead. Indu simply shrugged and took the movie.

"Thank you." Mignon grinned, loving compliments. She looked over at Dhee, who was keeping the clerks away from the girls, and she was struck by the best idea in her life.
"You tell 'em, Daddy!" She called, shaking her fist. "Their stupid thingy was broken and I could have DIED!" Dhee looked back at her, grinned a little bit, and turned back towards the clerks. From his gestures, Mignon gathered that he was threatening to sue, or something like that. She smiled up at Indu.
"I'm a Cheeky little monkey." She said, grinning.

Indu snorted and ruffled her own daughters hair. The baby scowled, somewhat affentionately and kicked at a movie box.
"Who taught you that one, eh? Lookit your daddy go! When's Jeane gonna get around to marrying him?"

"She said she'll get married when she doesn't look like a beached white whale in her wedding dress." Mignon said, shrugging. "She's silly like that."
Dhee lumbered over, looking pleased with himself. "They're not kicking us out or forcing me to pay once I played the whole: "I'll sue you" card. Smart move, blondie." He reached down and ruffled her hair, much like Indu had just done to Jani.
Mignon looked pleased with the compliment. "We allways have fun in video stores." She commented to Jani, grinning. "We should do this again sometime!" She said cheerily, waving at the little girl before going to pay for the movie. Dhee didn't doubt the clerks would be glad to see them leave.

Indu grinned and picked up her little girl, hugging her briefly as she stared after her friend.
"I'm not sure if you should go to anymore video stores with Miggy, dear heart. It seems to be a rather bad trend."
Jani yawned at her mother and tugged affectionately on her hair, but made no further comments.
Indu grinned at Dhee and shook her head.
"It was really nice to meet you, invite me to the wedding."
