"Now?" Gahou asked, confused, reaching for sandals that he realized were actually still on his feet. He blinked at them for a second, before getting up and rotating his shoulders; they felt stiff, but otherwise painless. He looked to the ANBU for instruction.

Gahou sighed and walked out of the door; he was too sleepy to use the window today. ((exit to Manor...))

Nyuuha woke. She lived just above Gahou, and his awkward stumbling was enough to startle her awake. She grimaced at the state of her body after doing a mental inventory. Speaking wouldn't be possible for a while, her arms would be scarred horribly, as would her left shoulder, which had been set to rights in time for it to still be functional. Her nervous system, however, had yet to be tested in regards to pain and heat and the like. The arms could be covered by bandages, and her torso would be covered at all times, anyway, by her usual outfit. She sighed, shifted slightly, and drifted off to sleep once again.

A soft knock played against the wood of Nyuuha-Chan's door, but there was no voice. In fact, a there was the distinct swoosh of wind that was the signal that some one had run from the vicinity. Upon the outlying doormat, there was a bundle of roses wrapped in a white silk scarf. The roses were beaded with drops of dew and water as if they had been picked just recently out of a rainstorm.

Shade stepped out the door to stretch out for a nice jog this afternoon. He noticed that flowers had been laid out for in front of Nyuuha's door. Shade walked casually over and picked them up. They were almost dry so he knocked twice on her door. No answer. He twisted the nob and walked in. The room was slightly dark with the drapes closed, a little sliver of light leaked in. he saw an empty vase and placed the flowers in it. The vase was filled with water soon after he found her kitchen area. She was still in bed, bandages and all, sleeping away. He walked out and jogged away to where ever he felt like.

Nyuuha woke slowly, and immediately grabbed a pair of tiny finger-cymbals that she slipped onto her index and middle finger of each hand, making them chime almost immediately after that. Something wasn't right.. someone had been in her apartment! Her nose twitched. She had worked hard even before graduation with Kurome, who had become her jounin-sensei afterwards, on developing her sense of both touch and scent, and she concentrated on her nose as she mentally sorted through both the smells she was receiving and her catalogue of scents she had encountered before. Shade... roses... Water... That Twilight-nin? dirt, ozone... Nyuuhakushoku frowned, That twilight-nin... what was his name...? Why was he here? and roses? that makes no sense... The scent is faint enough that obviously he didn't come in... So Shade, or the Bones-brat as Kurome-sensei calls him, must have brought them in... probably picked the lock with one of his finger-bones or something... But roses of all things... this is puzzling... By memory and touch Nyuuuha quickly changed into an outfit with sleeves, to cover the still-sensitive scars on her arms and shoulders, and she wrapped her ankles with bandages, slipping a pair of pants over them that, though loose, would gather mid-calf for easier movement. Over this she wore her usual heavily-modified robe, without the mesh or fishnet shirt that would normally be its accompaniment. Her throat was left bare, though the still-healing inside would mean that speech would still be an arduous task.
Now to find that Bones-brat... and Kurome.. and my dear cousin... and ask what in the empty sky is going on... and if Shade saw whoever left the roses... I know that he wouldn't have gotten them himself. Hm.. where to first?
