I recently bought a felt pick. I used it, and found it rather useless. I know that it is meant to sound more like you are playing with your fingers, but I don't like it. It gives it a different sound than if you were to finger-pluck. I don't know really. Anyway... that's my view on felt picks.

Not nessasarly! Hes giveing his view on felt picks, witch bye the way, i have never played one, i should try it one day so i can put a meaningful post here...that could be another reason no one replayed! ADMIN HAS SPOKEN!! *gray mist and flys shot from the ground as i disapear*

I shouldn't say that they're useless, but I don't like them too much. Mine is also a lot thicker than normal picks, so it is harder to play with.

also, they rub away really easily from the strings, so if you have a dark colored bass, you'll see felt fuzz all over the top gonk

get a rubber pick xp

A Rubber Pick is the way to go if you want more of a fingerstyle sound..... Or just play with your fingers? lol

Agreed. I have a dark blue (almost purple) bass. It gets all fuzzy. gonk
I just might have to try a rubber pick.
