hi! I posted this question on Laurells board too, but I thought I'd post it here.
Anyway, my question is this; Are vampires allowed to run for president? What about werewolves?
What do you think?

I'm pretty sure that they would try and make it so weres couldn't run. (At least if they new they were weres). And even if they did run (which they would have to be back by a party, so maybe if they created their own party/ies?), it's not likely that they would be voted in because of how unpopular they are with "humans". People would be too afraid of having a were or vamp for their leader.
It'd be interesting though.

they would be allowed to run the law says that they would be allowed if they can vote they can run and dont forget that in one of the books there is a vamp that is the mayor a city and he got voted in by a large majority

They probalby can but it might won't happen as a president should be able day or might and weres are not treated well which is why most are closeted.So maybe if the were keeps the sercret then yeah a were could do it.

Serenity Silvia Malfoy okay, well what if the current president, if he was well liked by most of the state...do you think HE would be voted if he suddenly decided that he wanted to be turned into a vampire? Everything is relative. It could happen, but it would be difficult for them to swing.

the only problem i see about a vampire becoming president is that the council would take it as a sign of rebelion and try to destroy the US and all the vamps in it.
