I'll post something I want to learn about the next person will do a little research and post it along with something they want to learn about at the bottom.
Why reasearch someone elses idea? Because you may not have any interest in what they want to learn about, but researching it anyways will keep you openminded.

im a pro at using the runes
the runes are different symbols that mean different things, according to how the runes turn up in the casting dictates what they mean. there are several ways in which to cast the runes such as the one rune cast where it gives a very broad over veiw of what the problem is, the three rune cast which serves two functions, 1 a past, present, future reading and 2the problem the solution and the outcome, or just toss the lot on a rune mat and divine from there what will be. You can find them easily on the net by typing in "Elder Futhark Runes" and you can print off the resulting chart. the runes are very user friendly and will be readable depending on your skill level.

			            (taken from wikipedia)
The Picts were a confederation of tribes in what later was to become central and northern Scotland from Roman times until the 10th century. They lived to the north of the Forth and Clyde. They were the descendants of the Caledonii and other tribes named by Roman historians or found on the world map of Ptolemy. Pictland, also known as Pictavia, became the Kingdom of Alba during the 10th century and the Picts became the Fir Alban, the men of Scotland.
The name by which the Picts called themselves is unknown. The Greek word Πικτοί (Latin Picti) first appears in a panegyric written by Eumenius in AD 297 and is taken to mean "painted or tattooed people" (Latin pingere "paint"). The Gaels of Ireland and Dál Riata called the Picts Cruithne, (Old Irish cru(i)then-túath), presumably from Proto-Celtic *kwriteno-toutā. There were also people referred to as Cruithne in Ulster, in particular the kings of Dál nAraidi.[1] The Britons (later the Welsh and Cornish) in the south knew them, in the P-Celtic form of "Cruithne", as Prydyn; the terms "Britain" and "Briton" come from the same root.[2] Their Old English name gave the modern Scots form Pechts.[3]
Archaeology gives some impression of the society of the Picts. Although very little in the way of Pictish writing has survived, Pictish history, from the late 6th century onwards, is known from a variety of sources, including saints' lives, such as that of Columba by Adomnán, and various Irish annals. Although the popular impression of the Picts may be one of an obscure, mysterious people, this is far from being the case. When compared with the generality of Northern, Central and Eastern Europe in Late Antiquity and the Early Middle Ages, Pictish history and society are well attested.[4]
I've read some books that mention them, especially one called Kushial's Dart and the two books that follow where the Picts are a major role in a war. Just type in Picts into google and you'll get a lot!

xd Bastet is easy, she’s one of my goddesses. ^__^ Bastet is one of two cat goddesses in Egypt. She and her older sister Sekhmet are daughters of Ra. However, Sekhmet is a lion head goddess while Bastet remains the domestic headed cat. Both goddesses appeared shortly after the rats invaded Egypt because cats showed up and ate the rats and mice. This brought about the worshiping of cats and out two cat goddesses. Goddess of: the sun (originally), the moon (after the Greeks), cats, women, and secrets. Worshipped widely throughout Egypt, her cult center was at Bubastis. As protectress, she was seen as defender of the pharaoh, and consequently of the chief god, Ra, who was a solar deity, gaining her the titles Lady of Flame and Eye of Ra. In Greek mythology, Bast is also known as Aelurus. As divine mother, and more especially as protectress, for Lower Egypt, she became strongly associated with Wadjet, the patron goddess of Lower Egypt, eventually becoming Wadjet-Bast, paralleling the similar pair of patron (Nekhbet) and lioness protector (Sekhmet) for Upper Egypt. She has been dated to at least the Second Dynasty (c. 2890-2686 Before Common Era [B.C.E.]) Her name has the hieroglyph of a 'bas'-jar with the feminine ending of 't'. These jars were heavy perfume jars, often filled with expensive perfumes - they were very valuable in Egypt, considering the Egyptian need (with the hot weather) of makeup, bathing, hygiene and (of course) perfume. Bast, by her name, seems to be related to perfumes in some way. Her son Nefertem, a solar god, was a god of perfumes and alchemy, which supports the theory. She was the mother of Mahes a Lion-headed God of healing. His main temple was at Leontopolis, although he did have a shrine at Bubastis. Bastet has another son in the form of the lion-headed god Mihos. http://www.touregypt.net/godsofegypt/bast.htmhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bast_(mythology)http://www.crystalinks.com/bast.htmlAnyone have any really good bat mythology links?

Bat mythology and symbolismIn China, the bat is a symbol of good luck and happiness. This is probably because the word for bat, "fu" sounds like the word for happines. The Chinese god of happiness is called Fu-xing; he is often represented by a bat and in human form he has bats embroidered on his robes. Five bats together symbolize the 5 blessings of health, long life, wealth, love of virtue and a good death. Some people believed the bat had a very heavy brain that forced it to roost upside down. Bats were sometimes used as ingredients of aphrodisiacs. The Maya regarded the bat as a creature of the Underworld and of death. They called it 'he who tears off heads' and depicted it with the empty eyes of a skull. The 'House of the Bat' was one of the regions that had to be crossed to reach the Land of Death. The Tupinamba believe a bat will swallow the sun at the ending of the world. The Zotzil tribes revere Zotz, the bat-god of caves, as their patron. The Zuni considered the bat to be a harbringer of rain. The Chami Indians of Colombia thought the vampire bat had the power to put its victims to sleep. In ancient Europe bats were sometimes nailed to doors to ward off demons and black magic. Drops of bat blood under a woman's pillow were supposed to bring her children. Bats were also used against snakebites and plagues of ants or locusts. Later the bat was sometimes used as a symbol of the Devil and it was depicted as the companion of witches. It was also a symbol of envy, because envy works in the shadows and does not expose itself to the light of day. from - http://www.dierinbeeld.nl/animal_files/mammals/bat/index.html#mythologyAstral travel, can anyone do it and how does one go about doing it?

			            ive actually been practicing this
the best way i find is to go into a meditative state and see your self standing infront of a mirror simply pass through this mirror and you should find your self outside of your body, this will take time to perfect but it is doable or another way is to meditate on your third eye chakra and picture it opening wide eneough for your astral self to come out through said chakra this is a good one for beginners. i got this from one of my books, Mans Subtle Bodies... the solar plexus, the aura and chakras.

Well, if this helps you out at all:
Spirit guardians are souls that agreed to fallow and guide you in this life before you entered it. Sometimes they are friends or relatives (in either this life or the last) who have already passed on, sometimes they fallow your soul from one life to the next, and sometimes they're strangers. A spirit guardian's job is to both guide and teach you though out your life, and protect your astral from. They often want you to know they are there and will try to contact you though often times they find it difficult. They can take on may forms, be it animal, humanoid, mythological, demonic, or angelic just to name a few. And their forms depend greatly not just on the spirit guardian, but the soul they are guarding.
I'm sorry that's all I really know I hope it helped.
I would like to learn about astral forms.
