Richard shook her head slightly, flexed and unflexed her handpaws, causing her claws to appear briefly then disappear with the tips of her stubby fingers. "Thank you," her back was still to Nicky but it sounded releaved perhaps even grateful. "If you need a recorder, I have a small tape recorder from before. Also I know he doesn't hold his drink very well." Richard recalled the encounter at the bar, if a bit fuzzy. She chuckled softly, "The changes don't do much for one's tolerance."
She turned and gave Nicky a slight smile, suddenly looking weary.

Nicky watched with growing interest as Richard calmed herself. He himself was beginning to ponder just how he would go about doing this. A part of him was still hesitant. He really did like Jordan...and he really wanted the best for the sad dog-taur. In a twisted sort of way though, getting him out of Moreau's grasp was...in Nicky's mind anyway, the best thing for him. He prayed he won't have to make the decision between an actual friendship...one that he had not experienced since Joey died...and his survival here. He was afraid of the choice he would make.
He paused in his thoughts though as he saw Richard and began to wonder just what her mental state was. If she was going to be of any help to him, Richard would have to have a good head on her shoulders.
"No worries, Richard," he said with a strange change of tone...almost one of concern, "but what about yourself? How are you holding up throughout all of this?"

Richard snorted at the question. "I'm fine. I have over three months to go until my last change. I'll be sane enough till then. Hopefully after." She a gave him what was once a grandfatherly smile but it was far to filled with jagged teeth to be reassuring. "Just watch yourself, the first three months are the hardest." She took a step forward, then stopped herself, a momentary look of confusion passing over her face. It cleared, covering it with a humorous smirk and extended a handpaw for a shake. "No tricks this time."

Nicky just kept that smirk on his face as she snorted and gave...what he thought anyway, a bullshit answer. But, he would let it slide for now. For now, there were more pressing concerns. Though offering of a handshake was a bit of a surprise to the ex-wiseguy. He quirked a brow in suspicion before hesitantly accepting the shake with his own swollen and clawed hand.
"Glad to hear that, at least," he said with a nod.

True to her word, she delivered a firm handshake, free of tricks. "Let me know if you need anything. You know where to find me." Richard purposely didn't ask about what Nicky's meeting with Jordan was like. She hoped Nicky would tell her after he got some information out of the stubborn dog man. "Goodluck." She released the hand, pleased, for the moment, to have another ally in her task.

The dog-man gave a silent thanks to whatever deity may be watching at the moment that he did not have to deal with claws at his throat once more. He just gave a firm nod to Richard as he shook her oddly shaped hand. Now that that was out of the way though...he could get back to the tasks at hand...meet with Ambrose...talk to Jordan once again...and possibly call up Sabin for updates. He wasn't entirely sure if that connection was safe...hence the hesitation on following through with the call.
"Heh...will do, Richard," he said, his face calm once more as he looked her over.

Richard ignored the eyes as she nodded. "Take care." She turned and walked off heading back toward the village. She felt tired and she intended to finish that nap Nicky had interrupted.
