I know that some people don't know much about Christians, and yet they seem to despise us. About a year ago, I saw a topic that said, "Christians should be boiled alive", where some boy rambled on about how he hated Christians. None of the reasons made much sense, mind you, but his ongoing hatred is what made me want to stay there for our defense.

Have you seen these types of hate topics on Gaia or anywhere else?

I guess it's persecution, but they still try to debate that Christians are 'no good' anyway and make outragious claims like that Christians killed people who didn't convert and that they killed the Native Americans in the 'Old West'.

Do you try to explain to them about Christianity and correct their wrong ideas and thoughts?

I pray that these types of topics not happen, but I'm glad there are people who will help change how these people think of Christians.

Live like Christ, even on gaia. So maybe their minds will be changed.

One of my very best friends, a former Christian, now a Satanist says things like "well can i just help you in hell with the tormenting of christian souls then? cause yeah...they deserve it!!"
I'm worried about her. My other 3 friends are Wiccan, that gave me a mild panic attack. When I saw my closest friend turned to Satanism, I nearly had a heart attack.

true there.. show em jesus's love and challenge their word.. jesus challenged to words of the pharasees.. i dont see why we shouldn't challenge the words of other people.. find the contradictions that they makeand point them out.. in the course "way of the master" they taught to go for the conciance(sp) and bring them into reallization that them need christ.. it works in person as far as i kow..

I don't kill native americans, or muslims. Am I not a typical Christian?

Well, it's true that a lot of christians such as Christopher Columbus did kill native americans, and many others for not believing in God. Also, they would try and force them to believe as they did, in the one true God. Which, they had noble intentions, they just went about it wrong. One man(i forget his name, but i read about him in a history book) converted many native americans to Christ by showing God's love, and not forcing it down their throats and bashing their ideas. I think this is what all of us should do.

Yes, those threads hurt me too, all you can do is try and be as nice as possible. It's hard for me, but try and be gentle, as well as debating.

There are also all of those people who say that they know Christians who try to cram stuff down their throats, and thats one reason why alot of people hate Christians. But I am not one of those people. Yes I am a Christian and Yes I do preach to people. But only when they will listen or only when God says I should. Or when they just want to listen. Or if we have an argument. (I love haveing arguments about my religion cause I am not afraid to step up for what I beleive in!
