Post anything on Harry Potter on this thread. I figure with the new book and movie number 5! coming out this summer we need a place for people to express their views on Snape, Voldemort, and Harry and the Wizarding world's fate.
Feel free to have whatever opinions you want. All are welcome. Enjoy!

To me, Professor Snape is one of those characters that sides with both Voldemort and Dumbledore. Well, at least he truly does put on what a true Slytherin headmaster is supposed to be like. He's definitely snake like.
I think that if there was going to be a new headmaster for Gryffindor, it should be Harry Potter. He deserves to be.
I am not really sure about hufflepuff and ravenclaw as they aren't really featured much in the books.
I think that is something that the author lacked in her writing of the books and in the movies as well. I mean, nobody really knows much about Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff.
I also found that the books were much more informative than the movies were. Like movie 4 called the Goblet of Fire. The book showed quite a few parts that would be excellent for the movie. Like in the beginning, they could have showed in one scene about that one girl being murdered secretly along with the conversation that Voldemort wants to come back and he is talking to a snake. Perhaps in a smoke like form as they showed him at the end of the Philosopher's stone.
Another scene they could have added from that book as a second beginning scene was that Dudley had to go on a diet and Harry can take full advantage of that. Like see him smile because for once Dudley isn't being favored.
I agreed about the prank george had pulled on dudley should have been left out from book to movie because that will turn away viewers. It was pretty scary.
However, they could have added more on the song that they sang at that quidditch cup game. And how the ladies there were very seductive and the female house elf part. They could have done that part. And with that one dude that could throw his voice like an announcer without a microphone, that would have been amazing!
My point being, in the fifth movie, I will be looking for intense parts on Harry's trial. As well, I am looking forward to seeing a part in there where two dementors attack Dudley and Harry. And then how Harry summoned a petronas to rid them of the dementors. They should show Dudley frightened out of his wits. Perhaps not the hurling scene when he gets back into the house. Well, maybe the sound effects I suppose, but not the sight of it.
I am sorry for spoiling a few parts, but I read part of the book and its what I would expect to see in the movie.

I'm simply waiting... I agree with many points of yours, Dreamo. I wish they had shown more of the World Cup in the 4th movie... *sigh* Well! I'm can't wait to see the 5th But It won't be as good as the book... *hakes head sadly*

Yeah, that fifth book is getting a bit creepy. I am pretty far into reading it. It should be a good movie, but not as creepy as the book, I hope. Though there are some parts I wanna see in it for sure.

He got Harry Potter out of a tight spot when it came to the order of Pheonix.

Since the Poll question was about if Snape was to be trusted, let us discuss that.
I put I do not know if Snape is to be trusted.
On the one hand, Snape can be very rude to his students, he definitely puts on the aire that he is on the side of evil and should not be trusted.
On the other hand, Snape is very good at teaching at Hogwarts and will do anything to protect the school.
I would have to say, depending on the situation would depend on whether or not we can trust Professor Snape.

I've already read all the books and seen up to the fifth movie, so i'll try not to spoil it for anyone else. But when i first read the books i did not think that Snape should be trusted at all. Even if he saves a life what about all the other horrible things that he has done(including murder). I was very interested in the sixth book. It should also be a very interesting movie. Same with the seventh book.

The 6th book kept me reading it. As for the 7th, I can barely finish it the graphics are so vivid in my mind and scary.

I feel that depending on what angle you are looking at from Professor Snape. He was always the type that reminded me of Captain Jack Sparrow.
He sort of changes sides. He also reminds me a lot of Iori Yagami. He has a dark aire about him, but that doesn't mean to say that he is a bad guy.
