Ever have one of those dreams you didn't want to wake up from? Well welcome to my world. I'm going to tell you a story of MY dreams.
The world is enveloped in darkness. Slowly creeping, slowly taking, slowly winning. Man-kind was on the brink of corruption. My family was one of the first to be taken by the darkness. Communication became torture and pain became pleasure.
Being unable to see as I walked I saw a light. I moved closer and it was coming from a draw. The one draw I left my memories of bad times in. The darkness began to creep it's way towards the light slowly. I walked towards it and opened the draw. I saw what looked like a necklace with a red Yin&Yang hanging from it. The darkness moved closer and closer to the now that I can see it, it was more obvious that is was a neck band split in the back for easy equip.
I picked up the neck band and I felt uneasy the thought of letting the darkness take it crossed my mind. Then black words appeared on the symbol. On the Yang side appeared the word "Me" and on the Yin side in white the word "Save"... "Save me?" I pondered.
in my mind I wondered "Why would a neck band need saving?" In the middle words appeared vertically the words were. "Fight it!" I began to HATE the darkness more, I began to push it away. To my surprise I suppressed the darkness away from the band. A voice came from the band. "Thank you I am forever in your debt. I am Kinko."
"Kinko? Well Kinko I want to beat back this darkness I want to save my world from it's clutches." I said enthusiastically.
The words in the middle changed from "Fight it!" to "I'll help." The voice returns as the darkness begins to consume me again. Crawling up my legs. "Quickly put me on I shall help you battle the darkness."
After equiping Kinko the darkness in my room begins to Shoot itself in my body and a flash of light pretrudes from the symbol. I began to feel the light it was as warm as a summer breeze in a cold winters night. I began to float into the air and I could see the world. The darkness has spread across the world. I close my eyes and begin to fall. Downwards was the way I went. I landed on my bed comfortably and passed out. "Sleep now young one for the battle begin in the morrow."
I awaken in my bed and stare at the ceiling "Was all that really real?" I ask myself in a quite and tired voice. A voice in my mind speaks up "Indeed it was.". "KINKO?" I ask surprisingly "Yes?" I Pause and look around at my bright room. "I was afraid it was all a dream."
With a sigh of relief I get up and get dressed and walk downstairs. "Hello? Where is everyone?" I walk into the kitchen to see a note on the fridge "Sorry we left without you but we could not wait any longer...... PS: look at the clock" I set the note on the counter and turn around "FIVE TWENTY!" I exclaim quite loudly.
After calming down a bit I walk into the bathroom and see that I am wearing dirty clothes. "What the hell? I'm gonna put something new on." I walk into my room and change into something new. Now I am wearing a Red T-shirt, and blue jeans. The neck band with the Yin-Yang symbol sits tightly on my neck with sufficating me or restricting me infact I hardly notice it's even on.
Days, and weeks go by and nothing happens. Not that I knew of anyways. Without knowing I've been destroying the darkness everywhere I went and the darkness now decides to fight back their threat. From the darkness monsters horrible and terrifying monster begin pouring out of the darkness to destroy me. I ran away from home to no longer endanger my family and now live in the woods. Battling training becoming stronger. "You must confront the darkness not hide from it. The darkness moves faster and more destructive to find and destroy you." Kinko says scoldingly.
I stop and stare at the ground and say in a quiet and unconfident voice. "I KNOW! I... I just don't' feel like I'm ready to confront it yet."
"But you MUST! If you don't we will all die. The longer YOU wait the more powerful the darkness becomes." Again Kinko goes with the scolding
"Lets go home then Kinko." I put on a fake smile and begin to walk home.
After days of travel I reach my former home every one is worse off then they were before I left. I look to my eldest brother Alex and ask "Alex? What? What happened?"
Alex stands up and approaches me.
"WHAT HAPPENED?" He pins me up on the wall. "WHAT DO YOU MEAN WHAT HAPPENED? HE came HE did this because YOU could fight his power YOU had the strength. The house is in RUINS because you chose NOT to fight but to run AWAY from it all."
Tears begin to fall down his face. "The parents... They... They SEEN you coming. They... they left to report your reappearance in hopes to stop the torture we go through everyday." Alex falls to his knees releasing me from his grip.
I put my hand on his Shoulder. "I'm sorry. I'm TRULY sorry. I came back to fight not to run. And Alex..." I say in a calm and caring voice.
Alex looks up at me and says inbetween a sob. "yes?"
"I want you to watch."
When HE arrived a battle suddenly took place. A small light was lit illuminating one corner of the room. HE busted through the wall leaving a pile of rubble that looked kinda like a anthill. HE himself was a Dark blue with Cyan eyes. Seemingly glowing in the dark but it also seemingly protrudes from his body. I clench my fists then point at him yelling "I will NOT let you torture the earth in the ways you have." in a dark echoing voice HE speaks these words. "There is nothing YOU can do to stop me."
The battle does not last long. I charge him and HE just stands there, bluntly. As if he could take ANYTHING I threw at him. His over confidence was his downfall. I jump into the air and thrust my right fist into his chest. "AAAAAAR. what? what have? what have you done? I cannot be harmed by mortals yet you... you.." He says stuttering backwards as I hold onto what seems to be bone mass in his body
"May you rest in hell in eternal suffering you MONSTER!" I yell vengfully
I flatten out my hand inside him and thrust it to my right ripping a hole into him as his energetic body tries to mend the symbol glows and a beam of light hits him and HE begins to disappear. His last words were. "The darkness will ALWAYS haunt you."
The entire room shines SO brightly that it is impossible to see and I pass out. The next day I awaken with a feminine voice. "Whoa that was tough.... WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY VOICE".
I hear a knock on the door. "Anthony? I'm coming in, are you decent?" Alex asks worridly and calmly.
I feel the blanket over me, and clothes aswell, so I answer simply while sitting up "Yes I am"
"I have something to tell you, you may not like to hear." Says Alex.
I pause for a moment and Stare at the door as he walks in. "What is it Alex?" I ask.
As Alex walks in he seems to have a somewhat worried look. Alex looks at me shakes his head and chuckles under his breath. "Hmm... How to say this without freaking you out. Okay lets start with the basics I was there I seen everything that happened. You passed out after the fight and I put you in your room and well things changed after that."
"Get ON with it Alex I want to know what's changed... and why is my voice so... so I don't know girly?" I said irritatingly.
"Well I would like you to take a look around you and well don't tell me what you see cuz I can see it too." Alex said kind-of mockingly
I stop and look around me I see balloons, cards, gifts, cool dragon wallpaper, a desk, a diary, and a pair of jeans and a T-shirt with something under it I can't see from where I was. I look at Alex and say "Ummm... Alex?"
"Yeah?" he asks.
"What's up with all these get well cards and balloons? And why is there gifts and some clothes sitting over there? WHAT HAPPENED?" I ask VERY worridly
"Well you apparently were in an accident and you've been out apparently awhile and Mom is wondering how you got THOSE clothes on you instead of the gown that she put on you." Alex said in concern and holding back laughter
"Wait wait wait wait wait wait.... your telling me Mom put one of her night gowns on me?" I asked VERY confused
"Yes. AND the entire family including myself think your a girl." Said Alex with a surprisingly serious face
"I'm not a female I mean I don't even have.... OH... MY... GOD! I AM and ummm... I'm not even going there." I was VERY surprised to figure all this out at once.
"Yeah I know, now I'm going to leave.. I'll tell everyone your awake.".
Before Alex actually left the room he turned around and said with a smile. "Oh by the way your name is actually Lina now. Get used to answering to it."
