Welcome! Welcome! Please pardon the dust, I'm afraid it's developed a bit of a sentient conscience and refuses to be cleaned. This little shop is the abode of the Jivvin Mocha and his guardian, myself, A. Aurum. Please, don't ask what the A stands for, and no posting without permission!

The Shop-Owner Name: A. Aurum Age: Undetermined, though appearance-wise he’s in his late 20s Sex: Male Aurum’s an unusual character, no matter how long you’ve known him… Appearance-wise, he’s a slender, pale-looking be-spectacled nerd. His blonde hair is always tussled, with a streak of light blue through his bangs, and a permanent cow-lick in back. Even despite the purple eyes hiding behind his glasses, he would have looked human if it wasn’t for the antlers curling up from his head, or his deer-like ears and nose. The result of an unfortunate potion accident, according to Aurum. He’s a man who loves his mysteries. Behind his airy smile, there seems to be more going on than he lets on. Aurum is the master of the bizarre interjection. No one can tell if he’s serious about what he says, or if he just likes throwing people off kilter to see their reactions… Aurum has only recently moved to Gaia, opening his magic and antiquities shop in a little building on the outskirts of Barton. Customers and guests are always welcome, though he advises against entering after closing hours. He says the doorbell can get rather testy and bite.

The… Uh… Critter…?
Name: Mocha Age: Ust – First, infant/child Sex: Male Birth Date: May 26, 2007
Rank: Olplyn – Cunning Olplyns are something of loners in the Jivvin world. Sly and secretive, the are utterly uninterested in another other than themselves, other Olplyns, and, if bonded, their bonds. Olplyns have an arrogance to rival the Royals, a fierce pride in their rank, and rarely associate with other ranks because of it, though this is true more so for the Wilds than those with bonds. Olplyns are slow to trust and slow to befriend, preferring their own company to that of anyone else. They have an extremely quick wit, are highly intelligent as a rule, and often use clever words and tricks to worm their way out of tight spots. Olplyns hold a fierce disliking for Sargtlins, who dislike them in return, but as another of the lesser ranks, they do not hold much say in opposing Sargtlin decisions.
Appearance: Dark brown over most of his body, with richer brown around his eyes and on his body, running along the underside of his body. Light beige/white markings on ear tips and stripes on cheeks and all four feet, as well as a fading tip of beige on his tail. Reddish eyes and a white horn.

A. Aurum's Magic Shop
An old two-story building with faded red paint sits on the outskirts of Barton, just off the road heading north. On the large display windows is painted in bright gold and blue lettering “A. Aurum’s Magic Shop”. Below, in smaller letters, reads “Buy and Sell Magical Objects and Antiquities.”
As the wooden door opens, a little brass bell above it lets out not a tinkle, but a lion-like roar. Inside the shop is small and warm, with wooden floors and shelves, some lined with odd-colored silk pillows or sheets of velvet, upon which sit all manner of strange contraptions. Crystal balls piled beside compasses and a bird made of hammered gold. Amulets bearing the symbols of the zodiac, silver pickles, whirling balls of levitated purplish liquid. Glass containers of all sorts sit around, filled with a rainbow of components.
Towards the back is a counter, and behind that the back wall with a doorway covered with blue curtains. Behind that is the store room and Aurum’s own living quarters, but he rarely allows anyone else back there.

Images Joy of joys! A spherical container of some sort! And left for me to find. Surely it must be some fierce kind of dragon, as that's always how the eggs of dragons are given to the great heroes who will raise them as companions... The... uh... dragon? Rather unusual-looking for a dragon, having such large ears and no wings... Must be an Australian breed.
