Well, apparently we're going to have another baby smile For all you that have gone through this before, what's so different about the second time around, except that you can't nap all the time, cause you have to chase a toddler? razz

First off, congrats!
Honestly, having a second one, for me, was a BIG adjustment. On top of having to drive back and forth with my oldest to his preschool, it was really tiring to not be able to rest as much. Not to mention, when he was born, he was quite the handful!
But like all moms, you'll do fine and make it through! I'm sure you'll get the good and bad stories. I know my mom said you had to adjust to the first as it is! She said 2 was a change, but after that, it wasn't much at all (there's 6 of us).
I do recommend ANY help. I wish I had had family nearby for the first couple of weeks, I didn't get to rest up like I did with my oldest when we were near family.

Im having our second the end of August...
It's gonna be a big adjustment going from one bobbling baby to two.

There really aught to be better reading material for those who do it the second time around. More women suffer from post partum depression the second time around, even those that didn't have it the first time because the second one is such a shock a lot of the time. xd
The second one is often way more different than you thought they'd be. So just when you're starting to feel confident in the things you KNOW and the things you DO as a parent the second one comes along and blows that all out of the water. It's good to be as flexible as humanly possible, remind yourself daily that this baby is not your first baby and their needs and wants are different. I KNEW this logically and pragmatically but when she was crying and crying and crying and I felt like the world's worst mother because nothing I knew how to do worked, it helped to tell myself that again and again.

It was strange how different it was. Babies really do have their own personalities. Even from one child to the next, their likes and dislikes can vary a lot. So everything you thought you knew how to do to soothe one baby might not work on the second. It's definitely a learning experience all over again smile

Thanks guys! And congrats Kmaz smile That's so exciting! At least this time, I'm a lot more excited to be pregnant. Last time I was excited about the baby, but this time I know what's coming a bit more, and I can afford maternity clothes razz Thanks for all the advice guys! It's so hard to remember how differnt babies are, I watch my neices, and my older neice is awful, but the baby is just like Elly was razz So odd!

not to long ago i found out i'm having another! we tried for a wile, i'm so happy but a bit scaired. my son just turned 2 and wow what a handfull sometimes. i wish i could rest more. it seems like my body really knows what to do this time round like it was ready.
