What do we have here...Why did he do this? Why did he always listen to Fenix when he claimed to have found something 'amazing' almost eighty-percent of the time it was just something that sparkled. The poor Kyunru as good of a friend as he was just didn't have it all in order as to what made something 'an amazing discovery' and just another 'shiny play thing' still here Miliardo was, stumbling through the woods to follow after Fenix to see his new discovery.
Come on it's just a bit farther! I promise it's a good one I promise, I promise, I prooommiissseee! The excited voice rang out in Miliardo's mind as Fenix 'called' from up ahead. "Please Fenix, please tell me this isn't just another shiny rock you found that you thought was cool?"
You just gota trust me! I promise you won't regret it this time! Miliardo rolled his eyes, "My lack of faith in you during these so called discoveries is ever dwindeling Fenix, I swear at this rate Kara will be of more use in the brains department."
This of course brought about a series of sharp yelps from Fenix who needless to say didn't agree with the statement of the 'Pixie' being smarter then him.
She is not smarter she's not she's not she's- hey where here! Sure enough the small gold Kyunru was seated atop a stone in a small clearing, just off to the side of him was a strange greenish hued egg, almost the same size as Fenix, wrapped around the lower half were strange little marking's almost like runes of some sort. The egg it's self seemed to be alone, it wasn't really in a nest per say, more like it had gotten dropped and some how rolled its way here to be caught in a tangle of moss and stone.
"Fenix, how did you find this, and please tell me it's mother won't come back to find us here and decided we would make a good snack." regardless of his worried tone Miliardo couldn't help but kneel down closer to the egg taking it in up close. The designs had little meaning to him, he didn't even know if such runes existed in any book he'd read.
Nah I don't think anythings gona come to get it, I didn't smell any thing coming or going to visit it, it's just been sitting here all alone! Hoping off his perch Fenix walked over to the egg giving it a nudge with his nose,
Besides I think it's lonely, it's like me.This statement of course rose many questions, what Fenix considered to be like him was anything that glowed, was warm, fluffy, shiny, or another Kyunru, but this egg was nothing like a Kyunru egg that Miliardo knew of, "Well what do you mean by 'like you' then?" he asked.
It... thinks? Miliardo rolled his eyes reaching over to ruffle Fenix's mane, "It thinks, everything thinks, your just reading it's thoughts like you do to me sometimes." Fenix blinked for a moment cocking his head to the side before looking back to the egg again,
You mean like how I talk? Miliardo nodded, "Exactly, except I don't think it's intending for you to 'hear it' you just do?" Fenix flopped down in respones rolling over giving a kick of his for paws in the sign of a shrug,
I guess that makes sense, but should we take it home? It seems pretty lonely out here... "Alright fine we can take it home, but if it hatches and tries to eat us, I'm giving you up as bait since it's your fault we found this thing."
Carefully Miliardo set to work picking away at small roots and weeds that had taken residence around the egg, a few minutes latter the egg was stuffed carefully into a backpack Miliardo had brought along. "Alright we got your discovery so lets go head back to the apartment... land lords gona kill me for bringing another creature home again."
