Shiro thought for a moment only to have his thoughts scramble from fatigue. "I don't know," he replied, staring back at the hole in the wall.
((Ack! Short post! x.X The writer's block plague has come!))

Aiya stirred momentarily, gazing about in muddled confusion at the dusty bedroom she was lying on the floor of. What the he..
Aiya?.... It's....me... The voice pervaded Aiya's head, but she didn't see Shreya anywhere.
Hey, Shreya.... Heh.... Why does this always seem to happen to us? Then, the spell that Amara had placed on Aiya twisted in her stomach, causing her to curl up in a ball and moan in pain. Son of a b***h. I guess I'm not going anywhere at the moment. Just hang in there, okay? What do you see right now?
I dunno. It's... really dark in... here. Aiya heard a mental groan. They did something wierd to me. My head feels all ******** up... kinda like when you got really drunk that first week in the human world..
Shreya! shrieked Aiya. That's private! A fresh spasm of pain shook her. I'm not gonna be around to chat for much longer. Sissy dearest has this spell that's got my auto-healing working overtime, so I don't have much room left for magic, including this kind. Just hang in there... she keeled over in a faint once more. ~~~ Amara raised an eyebrow as the beast roared. "Dear, dear, was that supposed to fwighten little old me?" The lack of her spell's success worried her; this had never happened before. But she raised a hand and clenched her fist as the fire flowed up onto the demon's head. It tightened, covering mouth, nose, eyes, and anything else that aided the senses. The swipe missed her completely, but it continued to stumble forward.

Amara jumped out of the way of the demon onto a chandelier swinging from the ceiling on three nails, landing on all fours like a cat. "It's time to end this s**t," she told the beast, raising her hand. "It's been fun," she added as an afterthought, pausing for a moment, "But I really don't want to die. Nothing personal." She clenched her hand tight into a fist, the threads that connected the spell to her wrapped around her hand. The cloak of solid fire enveloped the demon completely, and she pulled tight. There was a loud, sickening snap, and blood spurted out from the fiery bundle. ((Like Gaara's sand tomb, if you've ever read Naruto)). "Sayonara," she told the bloody heap, walking out of the room with a swing to her step.

Shiro was just about to scream with frustration over the fact that he was unable to return into the castle because how much danger the lack of magic energy would put him in when he noticed a small silver spark in the sky. He stared a bit closer and noticed that it was beginning to shift to a bright crimson and it was expanding,or so it seemed.
He fell backward onto the ground in surprise when it flashed and the entire sky became a bright crimson color. The clouds turned black, as well. He stood and stared fearfully up at the changed sky and Hotaru dove into the depths of his pack for safety. "The ancestors..." she muttered, her voice quivering.
Shiro was too mesmerized to notice that she was speaking. The climate soon began to change, reaching warmer temperatures, then tropical temperatures. Everything seemed to take on a crimson glow and Hotaru began to quiver in fear of what was happening around them. "Hotaru..." he said, beginning to shake fearfully himself, "What's going on...?"
"The ancestors... The ancestors are speaking to the phoenixes," she replied.
"What ancestors!?" he demanded as the sky flashed again, but this time orange, but then back to red.
Hotaru peeked her head out from the cover flap of the pack and hurried through the red and orange glowing grass to the edge of a small cliff just north of the castle. There, she stopped and stared out into the sky, ever so poised. Shiro wearily followed and stared at the sky. A tear in the air began to rip through, emitting a golden light. As it grew larger, flames began to erupt from it and out came a large orb of flame that writhed into different shapes and symbols until finally resting at the form of a large phoenix.
The phoenix of flame stared out upon the land, its luminous red orbs resting periodically on each of the remaining phoenixes for several moments. It finally opened its orange-flamed beak and let out a terribly beautify cry of agony and sorrow.
It then sent telepathic voices to all intelligent creatures in the world in a voice of a phoenix who had obviously had great authority during life:
"Now the time has finally come, The final ring of beating drums, The world's day slowly comes to end, It's lands and seas will never mend, The seas will dry with fiery wrath, Prosperity of lands, no one will hath, The darkness then will slowly teem, And war it will surely bring, It will be led by one of holy greed, Who seeks only but reprieve, To restore the power he once had, To use the fire birds will be his plan, The twilight then comes very near, Filling many creatures with anticipated fear, To morning or night or terrible blight, And so the war will end, Revealing morning or night transcend, Either way, imminent doom rests to the phoenix wake, For their lives the war will take, And their race will die again."
With that, the giant flame phoenix disappeared and the sky returned to normal.
Shiro blinked as the flame phoenix disappeared and stared at Hotaru on the ground. "Hotaru...What exactly was that?" he demanded, staring at her with much confusion on his face.
"It...It is the prophecy of our end..." she replied, a golden tear falling from her yellow eye and plopping onto the ground and sizzling into steam as it hit the ground.
