I don't know about you guys but here in Redmond Oregon, at the end of the year we have a reveiw of bands concert. or as i like to call it "the concert from heck" burning_eyes

See we have 6 middle school bands, and 3 highschool bands and all their family and friends in the small highschool gym crammed in there for 2 hours while we all die from the heat. gonk plus to cut down time we smashed a few bands together so in a sense it already has lost its meaning.

The point of this concert is to see the difference between different stages in band and to see the progress over the corse of the year. That was simple when it first started back when there was only two bands in one middle school and 3 bands in one highschool, but that was a looong time ago.

Anyways, here comes the best part. at the end of the concert we get to sit in the bleachers, try to balance cheap stands that came with our instruments, or hold music on the person in front of us's back, and play 6th grade level music as a mass band....

but then we get a massive desert bar afterwards and that seems to be the only good part of it :/

so any of you have this kind of thing go on in your school district ect?
