Man I really liked my thread of Marvel Vs. DC in the Manga/Comics subforum and I wanted to share it with the outside gaia people in the regular gaia forums so I take it to the GD, where I thought that's where we could have extended discussions/debates about anything. So I figured perfect we can debate about DC VS Marvel....I posted and the title was ((no posting setting up)) and what do you know like a whole page went buy with people being narks and assholes and posting just to upset me.
I went on and flamed some of them on their profiles. Just cuz. lol
So then I was like well s**t, I guess I can't have a discussion here and carried on to the ED. Where I was like for sure I can have a discussion/debate here.
Well Some ducsh bag had to go in and ruin it. All I needed was two posts back to back and I couldn't even get that.
I'm rather agravated and realize that neither of those places can hold a good discussion - with serious debates - without offending eachother.
I'm glad for this forum, because at least I can come in here and know that I can have a non-spam discussion with other members of gaia who probably feel the same.
What do you guys think of discussions...in the forums that are supposto be for discussions anyways? I find them to be full of a bunch of crap.
Then my thread was moved to the chatterbox and the admin told me that next time copy and paste material...yeah ok...but that still doesn't solve the problem of not being able to post back to back.
s**t, they can't even give you a ******** min or two to set it up.
Gaia is going down hill, if they have to worry right away about my damn thread not being set up right away!
Any thoughts on this?
Have you had any shity gaia experiences?
I've been a member since late 2004, early 2005 and it seems that gaia is just getting shity.

Oooh.
I've had similar encounters in the ED.
When I first joined it was worth droping in there, but now it seems the discussions are more about not debating but insulting eachother and tyring to piss eachother off.

When I actually made a few threads well more so if I ever put them in the General Discussion I would hardly get a serious replie. Learned that, that area is mostly full of jerks. sweatdrop
Mostly whenever I post is within guilds or other area's sometimes.

I used to hang out in ED-Politics a lot but recently I have been laying low. Everytime I go there I get insulted. Frankly just because I don't have the same political beliefs as most young people in America today doesn't mean that I am an idiot. On the contrary, I am quite smart. I just have very strong beliefs on certain things and don't compromise on said beliefs.
Jubillie, I am sorry that you are having what sounds like a typical experience lately on the ED boards. I personally think that people like to hang out there and just troll. Don't feed the trolls ignore them move on.

The same thing happened to me on the literature forums when I posted some of my poetry. At least 3 people made fun of my username. They didn't even mention a thing about my poetry. That's happened to me before in threads about global warming, anime, and judging people. Not only that but people were just saying retard s**t to piss me off.And the GD is basiclly filled with people like that. It's better to be in a guild that has rules set up to stop that. And you can't flame people on their profiles or on threads. It can get you banned. Believe me, I know that you just want to cuss them out and make their face concave inward, but you can't. You have to act mature, and show them as an example as being immature. And don't say anything back to them. As the person above says, "Don't feed the trolls". It's the same as "Don't feed the fangirls"...And even the ED is a downward spiral of nothing but assholes....it's a sad world.... rolleyes people still make fun of my username, or at least they make fun of me....I was in the Gaia Theater today and someone mentioned 'Emo Goddess?'...i was like 'oh no'....it's extremely hard for me...i'm scared to post on some things on gaia because of that... emo

I haven't been on ED for quite a while now. Shame to hear it's gone the way of GD though. I used to love going to GD, it reminded me of the was chatterbox was when I first joined. But now it's just filled with trolls and perverts. stare kitten22481 I used to refer to GD as ED's ADD little brother, So true.

I haven't gone to the normal forums in a long time.
I've been a member since 2003, and the collective Inteligence of the site has dropped dramaticly since I started.
the chatterbox once had conversations in it and good thread, but now is for spam alone.
the anime and art forums are only for people who are only seen a human in a chromisomal standing, not IQ.
and the GD and ED have dropped so much IN THE PAST YEAR that I refuse to even go there anymore.
Is Gaia slowly sinking to the ninth circle of Hell, which is for the worst of the worst offenders of humanity?

it's my goal to try to gather as many discussion worth people of all topics in this guild...
so we can appreciate eachother's posts...and not be so...

Sun Charm I cant even get a question answered in the glitch forum from all the retarded replies!! evil evil evil evil evil I just PM the one in-charge of the glitch report thread. bothered them for a month when I couldn't get into my Item Storage. And, No it was not just spamming them. I would have a polite and intelligent conversation.
