i'm making a skip beat video so i've been going back through the series and looking for images, and while i was doing that, i came across maria's first appearance and i remembered! when i first read that, i totally thought that maria was going to be a problem child who decides to despise kyoko and torment her for however long she stays at lme because of the crying incident! that would've been the most obvious/cliche outcome and i totally expected that especially with that evil smile maria had when she was peeping around the corner after the scene where kyoko told her off for crying. now that i look back, i'm really surprised at how maria turned out (and i guess i'd have to say that in my case, i just forgot to be surprised, if you can make any sense of that sweatdrop ). based on volume one, i would have never guessed that maria would turn out the way she is now...but now it seems completely natural XD

Yup...I sorta forgot to be surprised by Maria too. But I knew from the beginning I would like her. I did think that even if she caused problems for Kyoko at first, she would end up admiring her. Because4 when they first met Kyoko sort of gave her advice.
But yeah...I thought she would be troublesome...and though she is in her own way, she's always so cute and happy. Ah! Maria is so cute!

i'm happy that we didn't have to go through the troublesome stage with maria to end up at the admiration stage 3nodding if kyoko had to be picked on by a little girl, maria or not, i think it would've been a bit tiresome or a bit of an overload. and i'm glad that kyoko can be someone to rival ren in maria's eyes, it proves that she's got sound judgment when it comes to people. i guess if maria picked on kyoko, she probably would've come up as much more undeveloped and shallow and i wouldn't have thought of her as as smart of a little girl.

lol, well, at first i didnt think of that. i thought that she was the kind of girl that had a problem something along the line of her actual one. so she, u know, did whatever she did. like what Fuyu Maiden said, i also think that maria would end up admiring kyoko. 3nodding

Maria is so adorable but i am surprised by her as well i thought she would be annoying or just really whinny and girly. but i like how she turned out to be kind of like kyoko with he revil sid eso i am like i want her to scare off ppl and be my little sister bc i only have older sisters and need an evil younger one to go with evil older ones

haha xd only if it were maria....not all little sisters are as great as maria would be...and when they're evil, it's usually in the bad way sweatdrop but then again, little sisters can be kinda sorta fun, even if they aren't like maria stare but really....i wish at least one of my sisters were at least half as faithful to me as maria is towards kyoko

Originally I thought Maria was there just to show how Kyoko felt...like you can't cry and you have to change things yourself...I didn't think she'd appear again. I was really surprised when she did. sweatdrop But I'm glad she did, because Maria is darling. I loved when she used that spider-thing to scare off Erika.

yea, most kids will have a grudge against someone for telling them off.
I was surprised at Maria's reaction to that.
