This one time, I was listening to "Mama" in the car with my mom and she said, "I don't think you can listen to them any more. They swear too much." Thank GOD she was kidding. I would be long dead if they took MCR away from me. I would not survive without MCR. My advice to you is to rebel. Listen to it reeeeeeaaaaaaaalllllllly loud. Ha! No, but seriously, talk to them.

torn_and_frayed Oh s**t. That sucks. I know my parents would ban me from MCR if they knew much about them. That's why I don't point out their CDs I find in the stores and things like that. I never let my parents listen to what I listen to cause I'm scared they'll do something like that. It's hard for me, since my parents are strict Christians. holyy crap. i feel you pain. my mom and i are christians. but she think it promotes stuff about SATAN. heckk to the no. down with satan up with GEEsus. lol.

I know what you're saying. My mom found out that Gerard used to do drugs and is considering banning me from listening to them. I'm gonna make her watch LOTMS and make her see how much they have overcome since forming the band. So, I think that's the best advice anyone can give you. Because if that won't convince them, nothing will. Also, tell them that death is inevitable and that they are inspiring us to live life now that we truly understand death is gonna happen to all of us. And that kids get into drugs anyways without listening to this music and seeing what happened to Gerard when he started doing drugs like him acting all screwed up and becoming suicidal. So, seeing they've overcome and how much they're teaching kids that drugs and drinking and violence is wrong, they'd probably change their minds.

Besides Gerard alwyas talks about how you should just be yourself and dont take anyones s**t. MCR is agianst suicide and drugs and war.

my mom and dad noticed i was severly depressed a few months back.
they went through all my stuff, and decided that mcr was the cause of my problems. (because i listen to music so much)
they took away everything mcr that i owned and ALL my cd's.
i finally just ended up talking to my parents. that helped alot.
i showed them the albums, and LOTMS.
they finally gave it all back.
just let them know the truth. they're here to save lives... not destroy them. they'll probleley end up looking them up anyway.
