It's not so hard, acquiescence... I guess being single is good for me -- everyone has been complimenting me on how great I look, and when they ask what's happened recently I reply with "I broke up with my boyfriend" and they look shocked.
I guess I've just been taking better care of myself, recently, and been able to focus on my likes and needs alone. Plus, he needed to grow up. I'm glad I'm out of the relationship.
But despite looking better (I guess) and feeling better, I still miss some things. Cuddling, the company, and the p***s. In no particular order.
Erm... discussion... Who is single/looks good? Single/looks bad? Paired up with someone else, and how you feel? How important are relationships, really?
Also, feel free to share life issues-styled discussion. I love hearing about other people's problems.
... you just give in.

Woah there was a lot of uneccessary information there. Umm. Relationships are good for some and just don't work for others. It's a matter of a person and how they adjust and it's a matter of finding the person that suits you. Whether it's your polar opposite or your dopleganger. I've had a girlfriend for 3 years and 1 month now. And we're doing absolutely amazing. I mean we can still stay on the phone for 3 hours+. Frankly I love relationships. [well the one I'm in now in particular] Even before this one it's all I've had. Never casually dated.

Also I think you meant you love HELPING other with their problems. Not hearing about them. That would imply that you like other having problems in their lives. mrgreen

No, I meant what I said. I try to help, yes, but it is human nature to like to think that you are not the only one with issues. I just don't mind admitting it.
And yeah, I'm guilty of too much info, I know. After 9 years with him, and despite it being my decision, it's still a little bit of a shock.

9 years?! My word. That means you were with him since you were 13? All 9 years? Or on and off?
And I think you're wrong. Maybe it's true in a lot of cases where people like to know they aren't the only one's with issues, I don't like others having problems. I'm not the type to say "OMG I hate you" to a friend when they get a higher grade on an exam, even playfully. I congradulate them. Maybe human nature needs a bit of an adjustment.

Yeh, 9 years. High school, one completed year of college, and four years out of college. I was hoping for marriage, turns out he had no dreams of progression in any aspect of his life.
I agree; human nature needs a huge adjustment.

If you mean me, then no. I'm not a believer in sex before marriage, though I also have no regrets about it.

... you just give in. Hazzah! It's so refreshing to hear someone say that with all the little teenagers racing to have sex. I'm not a virgin, but I made completely sure both me and her were ready before we did. It's rather admirable what you're doing.

Can't say I like being single, though it's probably better for me. Sure, I'm currently in a relationship but that's only been since a couple weeks ago. Many previous ex's here and there, in my face, whatever but I guess you could say not everyone works it out evenly. I still miss Carlos, my last boyfriend lots and I have a feeling something's going to happen with my current relationship but I have no idea.
...Can't say I'm a virgin, yet in the same way I can. It's complicated. whee whee
