I've made this topic because someone advertised their private server here.
No. Don't do that. It says in bold on the front page of this guild.
DO NOT POST ANYTHING ABOUT PRIVATE SERVERS!
Why?
It's in the Gaia TOS. You can be banned for advertising.
As for advertising in this guild, you can and will be banned.

Bap Edit: When you post your P. Server screenies, please, please, please be sure to rename the screenie file so that it doesn't have the server name in its address. u____u;

Don't screenshot the server (at least with name visible). Don't promote/brag/mention them. Basically as long as you just say 'server' without mention of which, it doesn't seem an issue.

Well, there is the fact that without development, the game will stagnate. Without money there is no development. PServes are leeches on the game, not contribuatory.
There is the Gaia TOS, which are the people who hosts the forum, so it isn't smart to antagonize your provider.
Lastly, it's hard to give a damn about people playing level 100+ characters on servers with 10X rates in small communities where MVP cards are like candy.
So disregarding the legality of intellectual property theft, yeah.

Pservers do get boring after a while. Then when you try to play iRO, you just cant. x_x Either that or you don't have money. n_n;; (I don't.)
There are actually alot of huge pservers, 1x, 2x, 3x, I've seen them! People dedicating their lives to them, completely! Some have even more players than iRO, it's creepy. Gravity obviously has enough money not to care, or because they sued (e)Athena and lost.. xD
I'd play iRO if I could, but all my old friends are gone because I left.. u__u;

I personaly would rather play a Private Server than the real deal. I mean, I don't want to dish out some money just to play an online game when I can simply find a free game or, a Private Server.
That's just my own opinion.
