Hmm... my favorite scene (even though I like all of them) would have to be right after defeating Ultimecia... when Squall and Ultimecia end up at the orphanage and Edea takes Ultimecia's powers.
2nd favorite is when Irvine finally tells them about the orpanage. I love how it goes to the little kid perspective as he tells them who all was there, and they remember the fireworks lol!

I agree with the second favorite you mentioned. That was a great part of the game, not just because of the storyline tie together(in a way), but mostly because it drew the entire group together as a family from that point on. It wasn't just people assigned to a leader and following orders, it became childhood friends banding together to help each other and those that cared for them.
...my thoughts anyway.
