The GuardianName: Decaying "Deet" Thorn  Occupation: Cats Eye Book Store owner Gender: All Male, baby ;D Species: Were Cat Age: Late Twenties, thats all you need to know... Appearance: Deet would probably come off as some one rather scary or intimidating, coming in at 6' 10" with slate gray hair and fangs. This, however, in canceled out from the fact he has two fluffy cat ears and a long cat tail. His build is "cuddly", thanks to his unwavering love of fish (or all foods for that matter). Just don't say any thing about it, 'cause well...Denial isn't just a river in Egypt. He usually wears a dark-gray button up shirt, faded black jeans, and thick glasses (The picture at right is of him at a Sunday morning brunch where he lost his glasses) He isn't "goth" or any thing, he simply doesn't like to do laundry and dark clothes don't show stains as much. He usually wears his store's red apron over his clothes. Personality: Deet is a pretty simple individual. He's very protective of any one important to him, which goes double for his younger sister Ryrien. He's terrified of Computers (not even knowing how to use a Cell Phone properly) and only keeps a TV so Tishrei could watch his Soap Operas and the occasional DVD (which Deet will sit in on but never even touch the remote). He's a very kind soul, and while thats good for Karma, its not exactly good for business, as he'll give a free book in exchange for any thing, even the most shallow of sob stories. Likes: Naps, his friends, fish, more naps, books, more fish, cute things, cute girls, cute girls with fish Dislikes: Shop lifters, loud cell phones, turning into a cat once a month, doing laundry, the fact that people keep leaving strange eggs and rocks on his doorstep

The House
Deet, along with his entourage of weird pets, live on the third floor of The Cats Eye Book Store, which is located on the corner of Gambino Street and Lanzer Avenue in the heart of Durem.
The building itself is only three stories, four if you count the flat roof. The first floor is the general store area of The Cats Eye, selling new and used books for all types.
The second floor is the "specialty" section. If you're looking for a really obscure manga, a cryptic tomb of the ages, or a collection of dirty pictures from the 1800s, you're bound to find it on the second floor.
The third floor is only accessible from elevator from the second floor. Its surprisingly spacious: Three bedrooms, a living room, a small kitchen, and a bathroom. One bedroom is Deets, one is his own personal library, and one is the "guest" room, which Tishrei has taken over as of late.

The Family This is Libro. He doesn't do much yet, outside of sleep and ride on Deet's shoulder. He's a very scared little thing and really doesn't do much talking. Supposedly he has some thing to do with electricity, though no one is sure HOW.  This is Tishrei, Deet's oldest pet and most trusted companion. He's a Chaos, a being from space, though how he came to live on Gaia (let alone with a lazy cat-man) is any ones guess really. He is probably a lot smarter than Deet, as he does most of the financing for the Cat's Eye Bookstore.

How Deet Found the Egg (or how the Egg found us!)
Ding dong chimed the door-bell. Usually it was only used for deliveries, but as every thing had already been delivered for the day, you can understand why the thick-skulled cat man could easily be annoyed; Just another bad delivery man running behind schedule!
Deet groaned, knowing that fate obviously hated him. He knew this for one simple reason: He was currently carrying about four boxes of Harry Potter related books, the hard-bound original copies no less, and THEN the door rang. He could feel his tail about to just fall off and slither away in pain.
"Erg...CRAP!" he yelled as he dropped the boxes, the contents spilling all over the blue carpet, as he turned around and made his way towards the door. The green dog-like being, Tishrei, just looked up from his accounting book and sighed, asking himself yet again how his owner could be such an idiot. His 'younger brother', some sort of large-eared thing with a skull for a face, slept quietly next to him, unaware of the world around him.
"HELLO?!" Deet barked as he opened the door, his ears on end. No one was there, strangely, just a small purple and brown egg.
"Hey, Tishrei!"
"Yes?"
"You're not going to believe it!"
"We're actually going to make a profit from this store this month?"
"Nope! Some thing better!" he said, picking up the egg and proudly showing it to the green dog-like thing. Tishrei stared at it, wide-eyed, before putting his head down in his book and trying not to sob.
"Another mouth to feed..."

Ginchael: Gin and Deet's eggs both hatched at the same time. They're really just acquaintances but seem to get along alright.

Naomi: The first Jivvin Hare' met. He seems to idolize the older Jivvin, seeing him as regal and really cool.

"Ugghhh...Sooo booorrreeddd..." Hare' complained loudly to Tishrei who sat at the kitchen table with Leo, going over the finances for The Cat's Eye Bookstore. The young pig-boy was coloring in his latest coloring book, making sure to stay in the lines. Had to make it look like the cover, he did!
"Maybe you can go clean up the living room. Or go take a long walk off a short pier. Or you can just shut up and let me work. Its really your call." Tishrei said dryly as he caught another piece of cheese in his mouth that Leo tossed at him. Surprisingly Tishrei found himself enjoying the company of the quiet pig-boy from D-Corp more than the Jivvin he had known for years.
"But duuuuuddeee...I'm bored! Can't we go like...do some thing? Can you still fly?!" Hare asked, eyes wide with hope. Flying would be awesome.
"No. But you can." Tishrei said with a devilish smile, lying. He knew Hare's blood-line, and he knew how gullible he could be, "All you have to do is jump off some thing and forget that you're about to fall."
"R-Really?!"
"Yes. Now go away, the little one is drawing and I don't like talking to you."
"Thanks Tish!"
"ITS TISHREI!"
Hare dashed to Deet's room, knowing he had a gimongous bed. He climbed up, getting ready to pounce. He was gonna fly! He crouched! He leaped! He instantly started thinking about stuff that wasn't falling, just like Tishrei told him!
So I wonder what Deet's gonna make for dinner I hope its chicken I like chicken oh yeah and maybe some pudding for din-
CRASH! BANG! BOOM!
"Owwwwwwwwwww..." came a long pained moan from Deet's floor, Hare's eyes spinning from the crash.
"...That wasn't very nice." Leo said, not looking up from his coloring book.
"Yes, well, you think he would've learned after the last three times I did it to him. Now does this look like an 8 or a 6 to you?"
