s.p.a.d.e's HUGE fotografy dump.
;D

Last Updating
;; May - Sixteenth - TwoThousand and Seven

This is going to be just a collection of my photography of my beloved ponies.
[[ going from oldest to newest ]]
I would appreciate critizism on my photography because I would like to persue photography as maybe a side career so, all of these aren't just snapshots, but if they are, they will be labled as such.
xD

I also love comments, come on? Who doesn't like to hear that people think your horse is pretty?
;DD

Thanks!

5/16/07 ;; Here are snapshots of some old horses at a old barn before I had my gelding Jag.

This Poco, she's a little QH mare that I rode/trained, she was quite fun to photograph, always running around the arena with know coaxing what-so-ever.
User Image

This is my friends paint mare, Dakota. I loved her eye.
User Image

Here's Poco again, showing off for the camera.
User Image

This is Socks (the rearing one) and Rosco, they're both QHs' and were feeling frisky.
User Image

Socks bucking, that big brown thing to the left is the poll of the fence. ;p
User Image

Max and Hurcy play fighting. Max is the black one, and Hurcy the Palimino.
User Image

Rosco taking his turn rearing at Socks.
User Image

Pretty Sonny. He's a 'paint' (don't know if he was accepted as a colored paint in the registery ever) gelding.
User Image

A fuzzy Eastar, he's an Egytian Arabian gelding who at the time we adopted.
User Image

Jack, the sweetest, calmest, I'd put anyone on his back horse I've every met.
User Image

A cool angle shot of Sugar - a arabian mare who has major sway back.
User Image

Poco again.
User Image

The original, non-cropped, image of Max and Hurcy.
User Image

And now comes the billions of pictures of Jag, my solid paint gelding! This was just a day after he arrived at his new home.
User Image

**NOT TAKEN BY ME**
This was taken by my friend Anna, but it is of my gelding Jag drinking from the hose (those are my arms, so yea - I couldn't really snap a photo. ;p)
User Image

This is of my friend Adency and her gelding Hobart competeing in a small open show. Hobart is obviously a leapord appaloosa.
User Image

Adency and Hobard again.
User Image

Boomer-boy watching me.
User Image

Oh-so-enthusiaistic Cowboy.
User Image

A filly from last year, her name is Wee Lady Sadee and oh my goodness was she a little booger. Member Sonny? This is his full sister. ;d
User Image

Lady, my paint mare. At this time this was taken, she wasn't mine and being abused (not to my knowlage). Look at his poor sun burnt nose! D':
User Image

Jag and Lady.
User Image

Jag and his nice pretty trot.
User Image

Close up of Lady girl, ah, I hate looking at her nose! It just looks so painful!
User Image

Jag and Lady again (you guys are going to be so sick of these two xD).
User Image

My absolute favorite picture of Jag. I have it on my school binder, desktop, in a picture frame, ect.
User Image

My dorky little horse.
User Image

Jag having a hay day in all those plants.
User Image

Jag kind'a'sort'a' doing a sliding stop. ;D
User Image

User Image

Lady again.
User Image

Lady's sexy glass eye.
User Image

A sheaded out picture of Eastar.
User Image

Jag smelling the camera.
User Image

A goober of an arabian named Pat. He is the pushiest horse - but he's cute.
User Image

Jag running in the round pin.
User Image

Fuzzy, dirty, swayback looking, Jag.
User Image

I love this picture of Jag's eye. It's just so calm.
User Image

Brrr. Lady freezing he little butt off in the Iowa winter.
User Image

This is Rain, a little paint mare at a old barn. She was a sweety.
User Image

A buckskin gelding named Bucky (how original?) playing with a giant frisbee we brought out.
User Image

DJ and Gabe playiny with the same frisbee.
User Image

Jag and Pat playing with some plastic balls.
User Image

Gabe rolling the ball around.
User Image

My fuzzy boy, Jag.
User Image

This years colt named Killian. He's so cute!
User Image

Killian only a couple days old exploring the big world.
User Image

Wavey mane!
User Image

Little baby Killian taking a nap.
User Image

Honey, the momma of Killian.
User Image

Jag.
User Image

Jag - what a dork. ;p
User Image

This is Sar, out twenty six-year-old Egytian Arabian Gelding.
User Image

I think Sar looks pretty good for 26.
User Image

Lady showing off.
User Image

Suspention.
User Image

Shadow-y Jag.
User Image

Sar loping around the pasture.
User Image

Evil little Shetland Pony mare named Star.
User Image

Scratch that, this is the evil pony. Tony.
User Image

Hoss, a saddlebred gelding who was too abused.
User Image

And it's Hobart again!
User Image

We've seen evil ponies, now the sweetest bestest pony ever - Snowball.
User Image

This is more recent - only about a month old. Jag and Lady taking a spring nape.
User Image

Now these are more of the photographs I'm looking for critisim.

These few are from the Saddlebred Show Springfest 2007.

Very nice!
One thing I noticed (especially in the saddlebred photos) is that it appears the sun is in front of you, when it would be much better to have it behind you to light up the horse's faces. In many of the pics, the neck and shoulder is so gorgeously lit, but then there is a big black shadow on the face, and you lose details. If you wanted to photograph horses for money, people want to see the details in the face. I know it can be hard to get a perfect spot to shoot during shows, but maybe you can keep that in mind next time.

otherwise, these are all such fun to look at and admire!

Thanks! I'll keep that in mind. ;p
I noticed that the horse's faces seemed drown out, but I wasn't sure if it was me just being a perfectionist. : D

AWWW! Wow! You rock at taking photos at just the right time!!!!
Jag looks like such a dork but he's so gorgeous! You need to take a video so I can see what his strides look like! You're so lucky to have such a sweet heart for a horse!

Lady and Hobart have wonderful colouring! And Killian looked sooooo adorable! I hope we get to see more photo's of the little foal!

Like Antlers said just make sure your positioning or the sun is right. (You're like me. I'm too lazy to check where the sun is too)

I love the picture of Jag's eye (the one where he's smelling the camera).
Your pictures are really good, and I can't really think of anything to improve besides the lighting.
