Well, originally this did not need to be stated, but apparently Gaia now allows rampant cursing.
Call me a prude if you wish, but I believe there are better ways of expressing yourself than throwing around expletives any time you feel the need to emphasize a point. Not to mention that there is absolutely nothing to keep the kiddies from reading these boards. Yes, I realize the kiddies probably know more of these words than I do, but I don't want them learning new ones here.
Henceforth keep the offensive language out of the guild. If you can't say the word on broadcast (that is not cable/satellite) TV, don't say it here. Feel free to type illegible words, (i.e. $@#$*^% ) but not the actual ones. Not even in white text.
Is this censorship? Yup, you bet. Say whatever you want outside the guild. Inside the guild, follow guild rules.
Up to now I have only edited posts. From here forward you will get a warning, then you are out.

Not to worry. I am not going to retroactively punish people for breaking a rule that didn't exist at the time. ^,..,^

Let me emphasize again here that the purpose of the rule is not to throw out otherwise good members who slip up. The purpose is to make sure that the guild does not lower itself to using gutter language on a regular basis. If you slip up once in a great while, that is not such a big deal. It is only repeat offenders that need worry. 3nodding
(I have already tolerated one person breaking a rule in every single post he makes because they have "played well with others" in all other respects.)
