"Geomancy?" Saria asked, mostly to herself. Well, one would suppose that the subjects at a school for magic would be somewhat different from a regular school's, but what could geomancy be? It sounded similar to geography, which Saria knew was the study of things like different places, and weather, and earthquakes and volcanoes and the like. Perhaps Geomancy was the study of how to travel magically? Or maybe the ability to control the weather, such as by rain dances or something?
She shook her head and shrugged, putting it aside for the moment as she watched Mary step through the drawing, then Anna unintelligently dive through. Maybe Geomancy really is the study of how to travel magically.
She looked around and realized with apprehension that it was her turn. Swallowing hard, she stepped up to the drawing, closed her eyes, then stepped through. Immediately, something felt different. The air was different, and so was the temperature. And there was a slight draught that had not been there before. And the acoustics were different - it no longer sounded like an airport bathroom. Even the sound her suitcase wheels made rolling over the floor had changed. Gone, too, was the background bustle of the airport - thousands of people walking, dragging suitcases, announcements over the intercom, people talking, airplane engines; all silent. All she heard now was...... water?
She opened her eyes and looked around, gasping. The drawing had become real, and the pit in the center was really a huge pool. She stepped further in to clear the way for the next girl, and her eyes caught movement off to the side. Anne was lying on the floor holding her shirt up and Mary was leaning over her rubbing........ something down there.
She chuckled, "My god, guys. We're all coming right behind you. What will Miss Palermo think?"

Anna sat up and blew a raspberry at Saria, then clapped and laughed in appreciation at Tanya's entrance. "Right on, Tanya, way to make an entrance. And hey, you got nothing to apologize for, cherie, you get Anna de Mestral's seal of approval."
Rolling up to her feet she dusted herself off and and looked around. "Yeah," she said to Mary, eyeing the pool, "This just might be one of them old Irish castles after all. I can say this much for sure, it's probably not the airport." She reached down a hand to help Mary up, "Maybe this is some kind of dungeon. With a pool like that, she's probably not an upper floor room, eh?"

Saria rolled her eyes and shook her head. "My goodness," she sighed, "Miss Palermo better come through quickly or we'll have an orgy on our hands here."
She walked over to the water and leaned over it, trying to see the bottom. "Wow," she said, "Anna, you're right, this is pretty deep. This would have to be the ground floor or basement. I would hardly call this a dungeon. Or perhaps this is an upper floor after all, and Sasillia managed to get a pool to be this deep by.......... magic?" She said that last word in a teasing voice, rubbing in the fact that magic plainly existed to the disbeliever, Anna.
