Personality: Emily's quiet and conserved, shy but very sweet and difficult to anger.
Background Information: Emily lived in Boulder, Colorado since she was born. She'd always had a passion for photography, but instead pursued waitressing. Her parents advised she take taekwondo since she was such a delicacy. That lasted about three years. In her teens, she trained herself in that and riflery in secret, feeling those might be useful in the future. Emily has no siblings and all her elder family is dead. Right before the passing of her mother and father in a horrible car collision, Emily moved to Virginia with hopes of following her photogenic dreams. Unfortunately, as she waited tables to save money for college, Emily's hopes came to an abrupt halt with her parents' deaths. She was heir to all they owned, and saved the mass amount of money in depression instead of putting it toward college. In the deal, she got a vehicle of choice: A silver 2006 Chevy Cobalt, automatic. A week later, tragedy struck again in the form of world-wide chaos.

Introduction to the Outbreak

Inside Pernewton High, Emily was in the art room just down the hall from the front glass double doors. Since the massive outbreak of the diceased, she'd taken some pictures of the rubble around town, finding some insignificant beauty in it all.
She heard someone at the front door, unsure whether it was locked. Somewhere, groans and banging could be heard.. Nearest the gym, she thought. It had been such a hassle avoiding those nasty things from work at the bar to here.
After unrolling her film from the camera, she stepped into the darkroom to develop the photos. With the flick of a switch, she closed the curtain and bathed in deep red light. She sunk a few projects into the solution and stirred them abit.
The groaning she heard was closer than Emily thought. She blinked and turned slightly as pictures in progress began to ruffle on the line behind her.
A cold, thin hand reached out and grabbed her by the back of the neck. With a dead-throat scream, Emily lurched forward and out of the curtain, being closely pursued by the figure. Once she lured it out in the open, Emily swiped her foot around its own through martial training, knocking it over with a loud moan. In a panic, she grappled with a desk and yanked it over beside her before slamming it down on its head. The wiggling and groaning stopped.
Emily swallowed and wiped her clammy forehead; The first time she actually had to fight since she arrived, being the new girl in Pernewton and all.. But how the devil had that thing gotten back there?

She shuddered. There were bound to be more.
